So i have wanted one of these for as long as i have been driving. This one popped up and i thought why the hell not. So here it is. Put the spec up and only pic i have at the minute as i need to take up to date ones.

Engine:

Block replced with a PSD one rebuilt to include, new oil pump, new rings, all bottom end shells, seals, gaskets etc.

Schrick Camshaft with vernier pulley,

Ported/flowed head, new valve and guides, gaskets, seals at engine rebuild.

Thinner metal headgasket.

GT manifold port matched to head,

51mm throttle body,

G60 green injectors,

Jabba induction kit and heatshield,

Boost return mod.

PSD 4 branch exhaust manifold and full PSD 2 box exhaust system(Fully heat wrapped),

Helix Organic Clutch,

RPM Tuning Cast Alloy Sump,

Mocal Thermostatic Sandwich Plate with 16 row left front mounted oil cooler,

Stage 4 full blend charger with 65mm PSD Alloy Toothed Belts, Service G-Lader last month, oil seals and apex seals with fresh klubber grease and new gates belt.

Custom mapped at PSD about 3 years ago with all upgrade parts fitted.

Water injection kit plumbed in and built in to activate at high boost. Not wired in at the minute.

Suspension/Chassie:

PPP Subframe stage three with wishbone conversion.

Uprated driveshaft with new CV joint.

Front Upper OMP Strut Brace.

Rear Upper OMP Strut Brace.

Eibach 40mm drop springs.

OEM Replacment Shocks.

New Rear Beam bushes(rear beam stripped, cleaned and painted late 2009).

Brakes:

256mm front discs with Audi calipers.

Rear shoes replaced 2009.

Goodrich Braided Lines throughout.

Wheels:

14" BBS RA's with Falken ZE519

Interior:

White dials with custom blue back light and matching heater controls, 3 off matching white gauges '0-15psi boost pressure(with calibrated correction chart), oil pressure gauge, oil temperature gauge in radio DIN slot, AFR gauge and battery meter built into button blank.

I got a mountain of spare parts everything from wheels to a completely rebuilt spare bottom end.

Oh and the plans:

First off. Look after it and keep on top of servicing and sorting out issues before they become problems.

Roof needs some attention due to the lacquer having gone through. We have that sorted though all being well.

Replace bumpers at some point as they have a few scuffs.

Clean up any of the other marks on the bodywork.

Pretty much it really. Not really much i can buy for it.

Grey really is the best colour for a mk3. I'm sure I know that number plate though, who did it belong to previously?

Jason (Gspot ) Great guy. Grey does look sick just needs a bit of a tidy but it is what it is and it's clean enough for me really.

Thanks for the kind words can't take credit for anything so far as all has been done by the previous owner. Apart from the jabba kit and BRM and a few bits i have done to tidy the car up.

Looking very tidy I was having a wander rather early at BVF this year and came across G-Spot at the club polo.club G40 pitch and had a very brief chat, very lovely car.

Lovely g40, i'm sure this was a g40 club members car for many years. Even better that it was a late registered car and grey is one of the rarest g40 colours and i'n my opinion the best.

I used to have a grey g40, totally standard. Bit of an impulse ebay buy and had to travel to lancashire to pick it up. Problem was I had another G40 a mk5 golf gti and 2 polo saloons at the time before I realised it was a bit of a silly thing to do.

I was looking for a pic to put up and I found this. I really can't remember this pic.

That red one looks awesome from what i can see of it (pic from G40 rally iirc?). The car will be looked after as it should be and issues will not be overlooked but sorted. Oil change/filter change this weekend (every 3000) and a bit of a tidy of a few areas over the next few months and I'm pretty much happy. Just looking after it/tidying it as you can see from spec you struggle to buy much more (without getting silly).

Jason was a great guy and was sad to see this go. Seemed happy for me to be taking it though as i was obviously extremely enthusiastic

Car is great to drive in when the weather is nice and you can take it out to some proper roads.
