Schmidt ML 3-piece split rims (Revolution rf-x)

Featured Replies

It pains me to do this but I have very little time/motivation to finish these with other projects on the go! These are a set of Schmidt Modern Line/Revolution rf-x 3-piece split rims. These cost £1600+, and very rarely come up for sale second hand. I bought them in this state as a bit of a project to eventually end up going on my mk2 golf, but the golf is going and so I will have no use for them :-(

So, the fronts are 15x8, rears are 16x9, Porsche fitment (easy to get adaptors to suit any PCD), nice bit of dish on all of them! I have stripped the paint off 2 of them, the rear barrel's are all in really good condition, centres are perfect, and outer dishes are very good with the exception of 2 of them having a small stretch of light curbing.

My plan was to fully polish the centres  and rebuild with gold bolts and gold Schmidt centre caps!

A few poor pics for now:

(Please note: I the pictures the stuff that looks like rust is just mud!)

So, there are various options:

£800 as they are, come and take them away and have some fun getting them exactly how you want them (I do have a set of bolts to include with them, so everything is there)

£1250 centres etch primed, primed, and painted (or powder coated if you wish) a colour of your choice, new bolts (black, gold, or chrome), dishes re-polished and re-assembled

£1350 as I planned to complete them, with polished centres, re-polished dishes, gold bolts, and gold centre caps.

If I don't get much interest I will end up finishing them off and putting them on ebay I expect because it won't cost much, it's just time!
