help with 8j classics tyre size

basically I've bought some 8j classics and i have ordered some 165/55/13 tyres and now regretting as nearly everyone I've spoke to say it will be too much stretch so dont know if i should to buy them or get some 175/50/13 instead,what do you guys think?
