Well I asked for an offer for a reason, but he asked for a price, so I suggested one as a starting point. Tbh, I don't know what it should be worth hence my original post just asked for offers. I will take lower than £900 of course. I was just pricing together the rest of the car in my mind, and what could be achieved for it in parts, and picked a figure.

Have you got a more sensible price in mind then? Car has 79,000 on the clock... dont have many pictures right now, other than this one from approx 6 months ago (attached).

its worth scrap value unless u have the time to strip it..? so whats that £130??

if you cant fit a new engine or strip it... short of sumone buying it off you its scrap value mate I'm just being realisic naw

i have 1 engine with similar mileage

but 900 is a joke, i can offer 200 for it max, probably worth more in bits but then there's the process of strippin it which aint a 2minute job

In hindsight, 900 is a lot, but I took (bad) advice from someone else as I really have no idea what would have been a good price to start...

I am happy to strip parts from it, but also just as keen to move it on and be done with it...

if the engine's smashed you can just imagin what condition the rest is in, these pd engine's do 200k mileage no problems unless theyve had the shit thrashed out of them :shock: :shock:

I can supply you all those parts if you want them. The central locking pump is about 3 months old as I had to replace it in the summer as the original had failed.

Headlights are fine and in good condition, if with some stone chips from motorway miles.

One foglight is new (drivers/offside) but the other was recently cracked and so wouldn't be worth buying.

also are u sure the engine's blown? as these rarely go wrong, dont get me wrong i want to buy it but I've brought a few b4 and its turned out to b a lose wire or something, so the sellers lost out on a what was a good car just for the sake of something small

probably ran out of oil as these engine's r built proof one of my mates done 300,00 miles thats THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND UK GENUINE MILES IN HIS
