    right best do a bit of an update no pictures though unfortunately as still no laptop currently building the car up for a full mock up and making sure everything fits and clearance for whats needed.

started mocking up the adjustable TCA and adjustable Compression strut

cleaned up the area to bare metal where I'm going to start attaching the suspension mount

then started getting the suspension mount cup into the right place and tacking it in

then started adding the rest of the bracing for the rear suspension mounting for this side

all now tacked in ready to finish the other side and fully all weld in together to stop any distortion hopefully

Wow nice! I hope to do something like this eventually to a mk3, awesome work been looking at this thread for ages now and all te updates, I'm guessing your a machinist by trade? And am k right into thinking you have a mill and a lathe at home? Keep up good work mate!

no all my machining is done at work in my lunch time

when i hopefully get my own house next year i will be getting a mini lathe and mini milling machine in the garage tho so will be lots off fun and easier/ faster progress for when i modify the polo further then and probs starting my own part time business

This thing is gonna be fucking immense when complete u got all you are engine work planned out? ?? What bhp u expecting? ?? If u can get 200 bhp through you are awd system i think a lil bit of poo may come out of you when accelerating lol top build mate.....respect

that was basically the procedure for it but it took alot of tube shaping to fit the varying angles of roll cage it was being connected to

rear sus mounting strut brace welded in now to complete the rear sus mounting finally (near enough)

also been cracking on with my inlet plenum got lots of machining done on it but no pictures as this is being kept secret as a surprise for when the car will be finished

Pete, I know it's still a work in progress, but are you thinking of adding any bracing on the rear strut mounts for the vertical loading? as you seem to have the other directions well covered

Yep there will be one vertical brace either side I need to go buy the tubing for that tomorrow as I've ran out

And it will be going from the strut brace upwards the roof loop above it but right next to the sus mount
