I must say, I'm impressed with the level of work and the engineering of this pete. I hope it all works out for you.

Please tell me you're going to do it justice with decent finish to the body work as well.

Keep it up

Why not put it on air ride?

Why not put it on air ride?

Poor handeling, excessive weight

  • Author

This won't have poor handling and tbh it's not adding a lot of weight

Just leave the passenger seat out to make a excuse for adding the weight :p

Really impressive build here. Work is top notch.

Good job!!

Surely bags of air instead of proper suspension will be poor handeling..?

How much weight does it weigh out of interest?

loving the amount of work going in to this car, cant wait to see it driving about!

Where did you get all your fuel fittings mate? After some for mine lol.

BTW you have text ;)

Torques is the company and i bought it all through the ebay shop

You still have the majority of the usual set-up, coilovers etc, then you've got the compressor and lines, and the rest of the gubbins.

Is that for me max or for Charlie and il do an update later

Cheers for this Pete :D I'll get on it when I've got it back on the road and can fiddle :-)

Charlie. An air ride set-up will add more weight than a conventional set-up.

  • Author

Il need some Of the extra weight in the back to help get better traction on the rear wheels so in a way it does help but I can lighten other things to compensate I'm aiming for 850kg max weight of the whole car

Better go buy some more cutting and grinding disks Pete

  • Author

Nah it's all about the hole saw lol and just bought an air reciprocating saw last night to go with my air shears as don't want to grind inside the car if I can avoid it and the air shears are so quick and neat

Are they them nibbler things? Any idea what size compressor they need?

Ah right, didn't realise you were actually using air-ride, you not worried about the handling aspect?

  • Author

The air shears are like a nibbler but I wanna get one of them too and my compressor is from aldi £99 2.5hp 24 litre it's great tbh and a lot cheaper than ones I've seen that aren't as good and 2 year warranty

As for the air ride why is it so bad handling wise mine will be corner adjustable so that will help more wont it

Edited by StinkyPete

To be honest, i don't really know about air ride & handling, but i thought they were regarded as a no go for performance cars?

Aye i'm trying to get one of them compressors, but its been a while since they last came up on the deals thing.

Are they quite loud?
