Mk2 Golf Gti 1989

Featured Replies

The Golfy is up for sale :-(

Bought for a bit of fun and a last blast of mk2 ownership before I move out of home and have to get a boring car.

Mk2 Golf Gti 1989

Atlas Grey, 3 door

129k miles - Power Steering

Mot March 2011 - 6 months tax

Always turns heads and gets thumbs up, I'll miss the attention!

Every MOT saved, some service history and receipts. 3 owners from new.

After changing the ISV it runs and idles really well.

I've done a couple of long trips of 300 miles and travel to Manchester most weekends and it's never missed a beat.

Some rust in usual places (couple of bits on doors, tailgate and front wiper blank)

Very fun car to drive. And quite good on fuel. We did 220 miles on £20.

Pads and discs replaced 10k ago so brakes are good

Rear wheel bearings replaced

Lowered 60mm on shocks/springs kit

Bad bits:

- Drivers door hinge broken so requires a tactical slam.

- Interior has bolster wear and various holes. Drivers seat doesn't tilt.

- Loose gear stick - goes in to gears fine and doesn't crunch, just needs bushes to stop sideways movement of stick. (kit included)

Obviously it is 21 years old so has its marks so viewing is the only way to check it out.

Any questions please ask.

£850

Will consider swaps

Manchester
