Gaz, twin horns? I don't even have a horn atm, just had the multi-meter connected to the horn wires. There were two wires btw

Auto colour match, it's in banbury. Match seems to be good, but its hard to be 100% with the body work in its current state. It's 2k as well, which some people advise to avoid (see above posts!). If your in no rush, I could grab a few cans for you, I'm sure we'll cross paths at some show

No bolstered seats I was going to get a set of 'rocco fronts when I was going to have a custom recovered interior. But I'm sticking to the standard pattern now as its so rare and its really grown on me. So I'm just gonna have to hold on!

Certainly lol, i stuggle to stay in a set of rocco seats in a pretty much standard engined breadvan GT in the twisties!

Higgo: 2k contains isocyanates which can lead to asthma. It is recomended you use an air fed mask, but I've been talking to a few people in the trade, and they said with the right mask (i have one, £23-ish quid), using aerosol (small amount of the toxic hardener) and only doing small amounts, thus reducing your exposure it should be ok (of course there is still a risk, its up to you to weigh the benefits/hazards up). Earlier in the thread people were getting quite agitated that I wasn't taking all the precautions so I must pass those warnings on. I however will continue to use in small amounts with the equipment I have. The stuff is pretty pricey btw - roughly £15 a can. It does give a lovely finish thought. The pictures above are the 'straight from the can' results. No flatting or cutting compound used yet! It does however take a little longer to dry, and it does run a little easier than celly due to this. It also stays tacky for longer, so make sure you have a dust free area to work in. If your in the area, feel free to pop over and I can show you the results and run through my procedures if your a little concerned etc.

This is my input into the 2k paint debate , i love the stuff, its great to use gives a superb finish however it deserves great respect as it can be very dangerous in use as I'm sure you know :p .

The problem is simply that you dont get used or desensitized to it as such , you actually lose your tolerance to it over time with the isocyanates building up in your blood stream with prolonged use . This doesnt just cause Asthama it causes DEATH so should be treated with the respect it deserves .

As I've said I'm not judging or criticising its use BUT at the very minimum you should be using a suitable respirator FUll dust suit and goggles as it can be absorbed through the skin and even your eyes .

Like I've said i dont mean to judge or criticise just saying :-D

Right, still trying to get the rear brakes to work properly. For those of you following, I thought I had the calipers on upside down, so yesterday I flipped them over. Turns out doing this means the rear handbrake adaptors won't fit and they foul the rear beam. So after yesterday, i had actually gone backwards, with parts off the car! So I'm going to keep the calipers on 'upside down' and have a third set (!!!) of rear hoses made, with banjo bolts so they don't stick down so far. I just hope this eventually sorts the problems out.

On top of this, I can't seem to find any nuts to fit the KW thread on the rear shocks. I have tried m10 x 1.5 and m10 x 1 but these thread pitches don't seem to be right So I've ordered some m10 x 1.25 in the hope this is the correct pitch. Failing that, are there any other potential thread pitches to try?
