this is a sick mk3 makes me want to get one again in red!!!

p.s. don't conform and not have 6n mudflaps they look spot on

Cheers buddy. yeah, the mudflaps are going to stay :)

Small update, bought myself some 15" RA's as winter wheels in fair condition. lips have some curb marks and there's small blemishes in spots. I might refurbish them, but then again i might not as i only really intend to run these as winter wheels. Going to buy some 165/45/15 tyres for them so get that side profile down a bit to actually fit and work on a polo. Hopefully going for an OEM+ look with it, but we'll see. anyways, here they are:

There's a pearl grey G on here that really pulls them off too.

If you can get some pictures of the grey polo with tyre sizes that would be great!! I know that blue polo above was running 165/50/15 tyres.

Just a few quick mess abouts on polo selecta:

Just won a bid on ebay for a pair of late corrado seats for the lil polo. hopefully pick them up this weekend and trial fit it all :D so pictures to follow. Anyone want some polo GT seats?

hows the quick metal holding up?

  • Author

spot on, no leaks/cracks and holding on strong, does the job perfect. Ok it looks shabby, but couldn't give a shit as it's behind the engine plastics and no-one can see it.:D

Cheers for the link chap. I've just gone and ordered some tyres (165/45/15) but after looking at his mk3 i think i've gone and made a mistake as they look stupidly low profile? maybe i should of gone with the 165/50's? ekk :(

right got a question, what do people prefer a Red mk3 GT, or a Black mk3 GT? Might of just bought another mk3 polo GT. Pictures to follow tomorrow :D

Red..... Don't know why but tidy red mk3 polos just look the best. Especially with the contrasting arch trims and bumpers etc.

Aye. Definetly.

Black does look good, very good when its polished up. But it makes the bumpers look really untidy and hides a lot of the lines of the car.

ahhh, I'm really torn! the cars are both as good as each other, but just cant decided on which one to keep, the black or the red!? I love how the red contrasts with the black arches, like you've all previously said, but just stumbled across this picture and now its making me think twice?

Maybe your just thinking that because its something new, if I were you I'd keep yours.

I think you're right chap. Got it booked in for MOT this Saturday, so if anyone wants a black Polo GT contact me.

Whats the crack with the black GT?

PM me lots of details.

Was gonna say...definitely keep the red Chriz!

Ha don't worry chap, I'm keeping the red one now.

Right, I've decided I'm letting the black polo go. It's in par condition with my red one, so to keep things simple I'm just letting it go and to save myself from getting emotionally attached to it. It also has a sunroof in the black one, which means the roof is lower than it is to my red one which doesn't have a sunroof, so my head keeps touching the roof :(

Ordered my tyres the other day and they came through yesterday, but apart from that I haven't done anything as i've been driving the back one around since collecting it. Weird driving around in standard height, and not having to worry about the road conditions and speed bumps.

Anyways, heres some tyre's:

The black polo passed with flying colours on its MOT today, guy said he was really surprised with the underside of it... making me think I really want to keep it as its in such good condition! ......but NO! its got to go :( Here he is with 12months mot on it

Right moving on! Got the tyres fitted to the RA's today, and wacked them on the coupe. I used 20mm spacers on the rear and think the back sits good. It's the fronts again which are really annoying the hell out of me! they just need to go down about an inch and its really frustrating me! If anyone has any lower caps they're selling PLEASE GET IN CONTACT WITH ME! The car needs a clean, but oh well, here's some pictures.

The RA's down the wheel shop :D
