Ahh, I don't drive around plymouth much, unless I'm off to ASDA to get food or to drive back to Exeter :p There's a plymouth meet this sunday if you're around? In all honesty, there's nothing wrong with it at all, ok it has a few dings and scruffs, but what car that age doesn't? fully standard on 108k and runs a treat. Has all the intake plastics as it did from factory and original radio. Cant fault the car one bit apart from it needing a new wheel bearing as its a bit noisy. Shame really, would love to keep it. Dont think the guy knew its value, and he wanted rid as he had bought a new car.

Thinking something like an A4 TDi or a BMW 320d. Anything thats diesel and looks cool really. Something around the 3k mark. Updated my build after seeing this too chap. Thought id say as your interested in the car. Will give you a PM next time.

Cheers chap :) erm, have no idea how low it is at the moment... there was a suspension kit on it when I bought the car but i changed the rears for mk1 golf coilovers. So have no clue, sorry chap.

Little update, went a visited a member off my local forum as he had a caravan I need for a prop for a photoshoot. Ended up having a chat to him about my car and explained my stupid anti-roll-bar nut had rounded off, so he kindly welded in a new nut for me so now the ARB is in nice and tight! woo! but after doing all that I got a puncture on one of my tyres :( hole was to big to fix it with shell puncture repair stuff. But dropping it off at John's wheel shop on Monday to see if he can repair the tyre, if not got to buy another tyre :( Waste really as I only put them on last week!

I'm talking with a guy on e38 at the moment that's going to be making some 15/16x8J RA's.... I know the RA's are only meant to be winter wheels, but I literally cant help myself if he does end up making a set of 15x8's I will have to buy some for the rear! here's some CAD pictures:

Well I think he wants over 1k for a set of four, but the annoying thing is he's only making 16's at the moment :( but he said he would keep me in touch if he ends up doing some 15's aswell. fingers crossed :)

Not sure if any of you give a toss about bikes, but been building my lil fixie this week. It was my dads, it's the only bike I actually recall him riding when I was a kid. He's only just recently upgraded it for a mountain bike, so I thought id take it on as a little bit of fun and build a fixed speed from it :)

How it started out:

How It looks at the moment, took all the wheel covers, reflectors and lights off. Front handle bars changed for a straight ones, and chopped down, with new grips, I'm going for a white and blue theme and the only white hand-brake lever I could find was a BMX one, so ended up buying that one. Chopped down the brake cable, and think I'm going to either spray the brake mech white, or buy a white one. I've got some wheels on order but they're taking their time getting here! obviously keeping within the blue and white theme I bought white rims, going to spray the spokes black, with black tyres. Also got on order a new black 46 teeth sprocket and black crank with a black chain. But this is it for the mean time.

The looks like an excellent bike for a fixie project. Not easy to find a decent (clean), classic geared bike frame which is in good condition, with horizontal dropouts at a decent price these days. That looks just the ticket! You converting that rear wheel to fixed or buying a new wheelset? Converted old fixie bikes have much more character than a modern out the box setup. A friend of mine is the guy who started 'restrap'. Get some of their footstraps, they are the shit.

Yeah the bikes clean and has a lot of sentimental value aswell, handing it down and all that crap.. ha :) Yeah bought a wheel set, hopefully be coming this week sometime, will upload some pictures when I get them on. Yeah I'm feeling more classic bikes converted aswell, modern just isn't in my blood! lol. awesome, link me to a website or shop and i'll see how they're look.

Restrap

Although they sell them through most fixed gear uk sites including tokyo fixed etc. They are all handmade by him too and he rides his fixie like a beast. Look up 'restrap made in yorkshire' on youtube too to see them in action taking on some of the grimey roads round my way.

Are the cats going back on this come summer? Any more plans for it in the pipeline?

Yeah the cats are hopefully going back on for the summer :) but still waiting on my 7J's from the machine shop... :( will wrap them in new rubber and give them a refurb. Still going black centres with diamond cut edges with polished lips. should look mint, plus now I have a spare set of front springs and lowering caps so I can get the front sitting exactly how I want it! doubt i'll do anything with them this side of christmas, prob more towards when summer hits us again and when the cats go back on. No other plans at the moment as money should be going towards the Mk1 Golf really.. but I know what I'm like.. I said I wouldn't modify the polo when I first bought it.. but temptations and all that :p in all fairness its pretty much how I wanted it anyways, will prob just work on getting the body work nice and that's about it, maybe a custom made S/S exhaust aswell.... but we'll see.
