just bought some new tyres for the 7J cats, heard some mix reviews about these tyres... but either way, the pair for £90... not complaining.

I'm gonna bang mk2 golf seats In mine now after seeing this. I think the 15" RA look soooo good. And I love the mudflaps aswell!

funny enough, one of the main reason I wanted a swap was because where I am in Plymouth the roads are horrendous and so bad to drive around in a lowered car, I wanted something a lil more modern to do the travels from Exeter to Plymouth every weekend cheaply and smoothly... but they've just resurfaced all the horrendous roads I use... making driving a pleasure! so now been looking at exhausts ha, but cheers for the kind words

whilst I'm here, just a quick picture of the rad fitted and the new exhaust gasket fitted... also can see the neylon mount in the back.

Though I'd update this, as I know POvwLO misses my posts :p Haven't really done much in all fairness, it's got to that stage where it looks alright, drives fine - which is what a daily driver should do :) I bought an exhaust from German eBay some time back, which i fitted, and also bought a new centre section as mine was blowing everywhere. So now my exhaust sounds normal, not sounding like i've grounded it out to many times and blowing at every join.

But I couldn't correctly align it by myself, and it ended up resting on the gear selector in the exhaust tunnel, which it then burnt though into the plastic ball at the bottom of the gear selection. Resulting in not being able to push the ball down and select reverse... sigh :( And obviously this all happened 1 or 2 days before MOT. So quick stop down Devon Dub Shack to see Dan and he helped me align the exhaust correctly, and fix the gear selection.

Also changed one of the engine mounts the other day, as i was getting some engine vibration whilst pulling away, which has thankfully cured it. What a bitch to get the new poly mounts in, jesus! Look at what i had to conjure up to get them in..... haha

cheers for the comments guys, but I'm no noob to 13's just sorting out the horrible fitment with the allycats over the winter period. The 8j allycats just didnt look right on the front. So my set of 8j cats and these are all going in for a refurb. Same kind of style to what they used to be, so black centres with diamond cut edges and lips... The 15" RA's are just my winter wheels.

Well my handbrake got worse and worse until recently when it literally did nothing at all. Probably something I should of done a long time back but oh well. So bought some new shoes thinking this would just be the case, but after pulling the drum off the rear shoes still had meat left on them. But what I did notice was the brake cylinders on the inside of the drum where all seized and the hand brakes cables where perished and the springs on the cables weren't relocating, same with the other side... hate to think it but they could of been standard VW from 1991 So another trip to the shop and got a some rear wheel cyclinders, hand brake cables and a shoe brake spring kit with new split pins aswell.

Sorry only a maintenance update... but I did get the cats acid dipped and primered up ready for paint, but they need to go back to the machine shop to have the welds sorted, wasn't 100% happy with them. So not really much in the process of moving forward on them yet.
