I've heard you can achieve this by shoving a spark plug in the exhaust after the backbox (obviously with a feed) and revving the nuts off it.. this have any truth to it?

Yeah it does but it doesn't explode out it just flluffs out and you end up melting your bumper

I've never taken mine to the limiter. My dad did once, when the engine was cold too. "NOOOOOO You twaaat!". When I make mine spit I take it up to 6 thou rpm, come off the throttle and tap it down again. I use it as a deterrent for people who drive too close to me. They soon back off!

When my mate did this in his Carb'd Mk1 Golf it used to piss me reet off and he did it on the move turning the car off and back on again .
