  • Slight update.....it is now fully MOT'd, taxed and insured as of Saturday morning. I've been driving it the past 2 days with no problems apart from the boost hose that clamps on the turbo likes to pop

  • Picked it up yesterday, It's an animal - Pics and videos to follow over the weekend

  • Yeah I'll be there haha

That bay is a work of art Haz . Dave

The bay is done! Took us till 230am lastnight. It's looking good :) I will let haz show the pics.

OFFT. Gonna be sick bro!

yeh was just thinking that, shouldnt this be fully painted and started getting fitted by now lol

Be patient people :p Haha

The bay was painted and lacquered by 2.30 am on Friday night and havnt managed to get much done this weekend tbh!

Dropped off the centres of my wheels saturday to be Sand Blasted and also painted the Brake Cylinder the same as the bay, just need to lacquer it tonight :)

Will upload some pics of the bay this afternoon (Pics dont do it justice, not the best of lighting in my garage so it looks dull) lol!

As you can expect from painting in my garage (Even though my used plastic lining over everything and basically boothed up the engine bay), there is a few bits of dust etc in there but it will be sanded back and machine polish out to give it a better shine too :)!

You cant really see the drivers side properly though because its shit lighting! Will get a decent camera and take some more shots :p

Awesomeeeeeeee! not much to do now then :p Just the nightmare of wiring 8-)

Haha yeah....just need to lacquer the brake master cylinder then put it back together and sort out the wiring :/ haha!

2 weeks and counting......

looks awesome bro!!!!

well if youve got two weeks, fitting will take you about a day....tweaking about a day....so youve got 12 days to get the wiring done.....I've heard of people doing stuff the night before UD so easily achievable =D

If you've got to chop and splice the 6n2 loom to the 1.8t loom that's when I think you'll struggle getting it done in time getting the engine in is the easy bit....... Also your gonna have to declare the engine swap and get a require from your insurer.....

Yeah still got all that to do and tuck the full loom as well :/ Car needs to MOT'd, taxed and insured too :(

And youve got to have an engineers report to sign off your car saying its roadworthy before it goes for an MOT. If the engineer decides he cant let it go on the road then it has to go to VOSA and get put on a Q Plate.

New laws are shit...

Let's not drag Harry down with what still needs to be done and ask him instead what he has done since his last update. I haven't seen/ worked on the car since friday night so I would like to know haz!

Not a lot! Lol....machine polished the bay ;) painted the master cylinder and it just needs to be put back togetheron the pedal box etc and then the engine can go in :)

I blame this car for my health this week! Been stick in bed for the last 36 hours :(
