Video as promised you can hear its lumpy as anything and also starter motor sounds shit so there is definitely something up with it!!

Anyway also had my re-trimmed seats in storage....got them re-trimmed about 6months ago! Hopefully going to weld up some runners for them this weekend do the interior is all done.

The starter just needs to be taken apart and greased up bud...i had the same issue with my golf 20vt, the fix usually lasts about 6 months but beats buying a new starter. The cause is a build up of clutch dust in the starter.

Cheers man! Hahaha it does sound like a Diesel lol......I have read the codes and it comes up with Injectors etc which I have upgraded so confident just needs a map hoping to get it put back together etc this weekend and then get it mapped next week!

Unless anyone is running a AGU with a K04 on a custom map....and I can 'Flash Copy' their ECU :p then just get the map tweaked lol.

Cheers man :) but i had another look last night and I think the problem is the Live feed, for some reason when the battery is connected the clocks come on straight away without even turning the ignition on so I think one of the power feeds is in the wrong place :( Any idea what that might be? I've noticed there is only 1 main live feed that comes from the Battery Terminal inside the car and then is connected on a small box with 3 other switch lives.

Any idea?

You mean you have the live coming from the battery and going onto the polo gti 'bus bar' which sits under the fusebox- each one connects to a relay of some sort, so just be sure you have them all the right way. That bus bar or small box as you call it is part of the interior loom and i cant see you getting the connection wrong, since you only undid one of the nuts to remove the GTI engine loom to get fettled...

Yeah that's it, comes direct from the battery inside the car and goes into a small black box (Next to fusebox) with 3 other switch lives connected into it. They are all connected and screwed on separately but all connected via a metal bar inside the black box so the current must run through all of them via this metal bar anyway which I think is why as soon as I connect this 1 permanent live feed the clocks automatically turn on without the ignition.

I've got a feeling it needs to go somewhere else to power these switch lives that are in this little 'bus bar' box....

Ill have a look at the wiring diagram and see what I can find!

I think you need to find out which wires you touched when you 'cut out' systems from the interior and engine bay loom.

I know my golf's dash display comes on without the headlamp switch on- but thats because i programmed it to do that via vag tacho...and it comes on when i put the ignition on.

I think you need to look at the headlamp/interior illumination circuit...

I'm already getting a headache with Naz's wiring :( as i have drive by wire...but the DBW wiring on the TT is on the interior loom! not like the polo GTI where the plug just comes on the engine bay wiring...

When you removed the ABS wiring, i hope you kept the 'drive CAN' wire (orange and purple/brown) wire that goes to the clocks from the ecu. You can easily mistake it as being part of the ABS wiring as the same colourish wires are present at the connector for the ABS pump...if you remove this, it may also cause the clock illumination and running issues.
