  • Slight update.....it is now fully MOT'd, taxed and insured as of Saturday morning. I've been driving it the past 2 days with no problems apart from the boost hose that clamps on the turbo likes to pop

  • Picked it up yesterday, It's an animal - Pics and videos to follow over the weekend

  • Yeah I'll be there haha

Yeah tell me about it!! They also say 'For that specification, you need a custom map which is £650'

Ohh and just found out I need new Injectors, New Inlet and need to Re-Route my boost Pipes to go around the new inlet!!

Anyone want to buy a project???

S'up with your inlet and injectors? Do the BAM ones not work? Can you not find anywhere else that'll do a custom map cheaper?

Basically I have used the BAM inlet as its tidier with boost pipes etc but as its the small port and the AGU head is a large port I need to get the ports matched up (Which is easy andnot worried about) but also the BAM injectors apparently aren't very good for the standard AGU ECU because they are 12 Ohm and the original AGU Injectors are 1.2 Ohm so a big difference. I will probably have to change them to the 440 Bosch ones or even the Saab Red Top injectors.

Spoke to R-Tech this afternoon and they said £399 :) But they are in Leicestershire so would need to get it trailered there by my mate which will still cost a few £££

Buy these now! Unless your gonna use the Vaux ones...

LINKY!

Right not a pic update BUT I have sorted out the wiring :D :D :D basically it had a wrong relay fitted, it was missing the Fuel Pump Relay so the fuel pump wasn't working properly (even though it still started) and also it had 2 off the '53' relays fitted, I had another relay (Cant remember what number) which was the right one for the plug so fitted that and I now have a decent ignition.

So I can now turn the Key to Point 1 and fuel pump etc primes then Point 2 and it starts - And it runs almost PERFECT! And I can even rev it now :D

So Excited now......Just need to get my Inlet Port matched to the Head, clutch bled, new brakes and its off for mapping! Which will hopefully all be at the end of the month when i get paid

Good work mayet, looks really good and you have made a really neat job out of it, looks almost like it was a factory fitted motor!

Just wish I was that spanner inclined to get an ABA into my Variant.

Basically just waiting on the gear linkage (Other one was fucked, one of the rod's was bent), high pressure clutch bleeder, Inlet to be ported to match the Head, Bolt to block off the EGT on turbo & then will need to buy a New Battery & fuel pump.

Also got the money to get it mapped now, so as soon as this stuff is done I can send it off :D Hoping to get this stuff fitted at the weekend then sort out the Fuel Pump next week.

Not long now 8-) drive home from the mappers will be fun :p
