  • Slight update.....it is now fully MOT'd, taxed and insured as of Saturday morning. I've been driving it the past 2 days with no problems apart from the boost hose that clamps on the turbo likes to pop

  • Picked it up yesterday, It's an animal - Pics and videos to follow over the weekend

  • Yeah I'll be there haha

Good progress Harry! Sucks when other people bugger up your stuff. At least they're paying for it!

Good luck with the clutch problems, will be interested to see photo's once it's done :)

Cheers Dave! Yeah I was absolutely gutted but at least it's getting fixed.

Being picked up tomorrow at 2PM

Think positive Harry!

Right so it's not going to make UD but not too bothered as I would rather it was 100% completed and not rushed etc.

Went for a sneaky look at the Polo today and to go through some stuff with the guys at JTech with some of the few running issues it had etc. and they are making some good progress so I'm happy and cannot wait to get this back now 8-)

No figures on it yet, it hasn't been mapped but all the little problems have been sorted and it now starts properly with the MAF and N75 valve un-plugged. It idles and revs up to a few thousand fine and have been told it will be fine to drive (Granny Style) to the mapping place!

Got to finish the below this week:

- Fit Manual steering rack

- Fit Dash/Centre console etc.

- Sort Brake light switch on pedalbox

- Roll Arches

- Fit Wheels

- Fit Bumper/Grills etc.

- Fit a 2.5" Rear Silencer, the one on there is a 1.5 or 1.75 i think and too restrictive

Then will be going to get mapped next week :)

All good news bro, got a spare 3" if you want it ;)

Hi Harry, could i ask what running issues u were having that JTech sorted

I'm having a few issues myself and am looking around to find someone to help sort them out

Thanks

Congrats bud, all the hard work payed off! You'll have a even bigger smile once it's all finished perfectly!

So the manual steering rack has now been fitted, easy job turned into a nightmare as usual......

The nut inside the chassis leg decided to break free when doing the subframe back up so out came the grinder and had to cut open the leg, re-weld the nut in place and then weld the chassis leg back up.

Next job is to fit the dash and all the interior.

Pics to come soon....Promise 8-)

Awesome man, got your love back then? Where you have it mapped same place as the wiring was sorted?

Yupp love it 8-) haha! Not been mapped yet but the ECU already had a stage 1 for a K03s when I bought it so that probably helps with the running etc. Not 100% decided where it's going to be mapped yet but need to get it booked it soon.....

Coming along now mate! Keep going at it man. Almost there. She gonna be at early?

Cheers man! Fingers crossed, gives me a couple of weeks to put it all back together and get it mapped so should be do-able.....depends if something goes wrong (Like usual!) Lol....
