With that much camber it will twitch about crossing the lines on a motorway on a rainy day... I know this from experience lol

Sweet machine though, can't wait to see pictures and vids

  • Slight update.....it is now fully MOT'd, taxed and insured as of Saturday morning. I've been driving it the past 2 days with no problems apart from the boost hose that clamps on the turbo likes to pop

  • Picked it up yesterday, It's an animal - Pics and videos to follow over the weekend

  • Yeah I'll be there haha

Can I ask a quick question. You have clearly built this to be a quick car hence the 1.8t lump so why have you then gone and ruined the chance of driving it fast by putting so much camber on the rear wheels fair enough for looks but it would look just as good with wheels that fitted in the arches better. Other than that nice build

Good question.....my intention when building the car was too build a nice 'All-rounder' car to drive to shows. It wasn't built to start to racing it around everywhere BUT since building it I have changed my mind and want to do some track days in it as well so the wheels on it at the moment will be the show wheels and I will get some different wheels (With decent tyres) for driving it like a tool :-D

Got a few parts delivered for this today, nothing to exciting but pics to follow :p

does this actually run yet??? and why on earth would you want to do track days in a pristine smoothed car?? youll only lose it round a corner and ruin all your hard work lol

It drives now lol....taken it out a few times but it does still need mapping! And because I want to be able to drive it properly, A few easy track days on it will be fine :)

Right so today I done some work on the Polo and managed to weld in a brand new 2.5" Centre silencer to shut it up a bit (Was mega loud), fitted brand new starter motor and also fitted the 4th wheel as Damien fitted up the tyre for me last week!

Also lowered it a bit more all round, not mega low but it sits nice now :)

Would love to make UD next year and it is possible, not much left to do. We shall see ;)

So on Saturday I spent the day messing about with the ride height on the BBS so it would be ok for it to be mapped etc.

Also had to roll the rear arches for a bit more clearance, passenger side was fine but the drivers side started cracking and the arch is completely rotten so that will have to be cut out at some point :-(

Then decided to take it for a little drive round my little village

Obviously still needs to be mapped but I love this thing
