  • Slight update.....it is now fully MOT'd, taxed and insured as of Saturday morning. I've been driving it the past 2 days with no problems apart from the boost hose that clamps on the turbo likes to pop

  • Picked it up yesterday, It's an animal - Pics and videos to follow over the weekend

  • Yeah I'll be there haha

Yeah smoothing is the most time consuming/head ache thing I've done on the car I think lol so it better be worth it :)

Loving the progress, mines painfully slow atm...ran out of money :|

Which engine code have you gone for? Is it standard or already been played with?

CTN Diesel gearbox from a Passat 1.9 tdi so I have the longer ratios and also can sit at 70 without being at high revs :)

Yes Harry! You having to change to a cable gear linkage?

I'm not sure yet, didn't get a chance to inspect the box properly but will have a look tonight :)

Will be running G60 flywheel and VR6 clutch as well so I need to make a bracket to convert hydraulic clutch to cable.

I havnt worked that out yet :/ lol what do you recommend?

As technical as it sounds I'm cramming the Audi one in if it fits, if not ill be running an in-line pump, but ill cross that bridge when i get to it...

Yeah I'm watching a few Weber in-line ones on eBay at the moment but just not sure :/ lol

Ill try the Audi one in the Polo tonight and if it fits ill let you know. Might require some butchering =/

if you're using stock or 1.8t pump alone i wouldn't bother with the 4 bar fpr, you'd ideally need the tt/ s3 / lcr pump for that.

i'd personally run stock polo mpi intank and inline walboro or mk1 golf gti bosch is more than capable.

i'm running hybrid k04 with 1.8t pump, i was led to belive 4 bar would be enough on the 1.8t pump and TT grey injectors. after a couple of mapping sessions trying to crack the 300bhp mark the pump cannot sustain the 4 bar at high revs in 3/4/5 or 6th gear so i'm going back down to 3 bar and they'll be increasing the duration of the injectors to stop it leaning out top end.

if i wasn't shaving my bay then i'd possibly opt for an inline pump and stick with the 4bar so i'm not maxing out the injectors.

Ahh right, when it goes in for its mapping session at R-tech ill see what they say about it all and if it needs an inline as additional ill get one fitted. Cheers.

R-tech will sort you out, they're good chaps and offer some tempting features for the 1.8T - launch control anyone

Well this is exciting!...
