It's hilarious! Unusual Polos do seem to get noticed though. Back when mine was on a main road outside my parents' house I had two notes left, then some guy stopped in the middle of the road and got out to ask me how much I wanted for it and another one stopped me while I was getting out to ask the same.

I like my car, and the colour's nice, but I never did understand being treated like I was driving a rare Ferrari. Always made me smile though. :)

Its 6months since I've driven my other G40 but this thing feels like an absolute animal in comparison and the black one is not far off this spec-wise! Seriously impressed when I put my foot down... G SMILES are Back!!!

Tracking is high on the agenda though!...

I'm really impressed with the difference in handling with G40 steering arms and damper, polybushed arb and new top mounts and wheel bearings!

Just make sure you look after it man, no more cold start thrashing or redlining. let the poor thing warm up first. no wonder your black one was in such a mess!

Piss off Jay!! I never abused the black G... The taxi and the mk1 fully all day long but never redlined or cold thrashed my black G!!!

U'll have to come for a buzz when you are next up north...

Matt - just added more fuel n it ran think it just needed a little encouragement to pull the fuel through after fitting new pump!

All fitted now I didnt expect much from a stage 2 but I'm reallly impressed with how much its stiffened up the car along with a set of G-lader blocks!!!

G40 rad and twin speed fan going on tomorrow...

Just need the tracking doing and new brakes on and should have it driving nice...

I can happily report that the G40 Rad and twin speed fan now mean it is back to sensible temperatures in rush hour traffic! Was having to drive with the heaters on full whack due to a crap rad a knackered fan!

from a distant view it loomks as though things are finally working out for you car wise.
