Old novas are pretty cool nowadays, rather have one over a mk3 polo GT tbh. My bro was into all them barry cars back in the 90's hey day, started off with a red XR2 which got stacked then had a red Nova 1.3 SR with the grey wheel trims :-) Around this time I had a black AX GT which have to say was better than the SR and Polo GT for performance.

novas are my secret fetish  i seen one fly past me today a white one caged up buckets exhaust the size of a drain pipe ! fuck me did it shift !

i need to try flag the fella down and have a chat with him and see whats under the bonnet must be a redtop !

if you do look for a nova check for rot around the arches, sills, boot floor, battery tray and filler cap. my missus' was owned from new in her family and was kept really well. only bad bits on her's was the rear arches. rest was probably in better condition than most 10yr old cars never mind 20yr old lol

had 13 novas of different shapes and sizes, of course red topped a few including one earlier in the thread.

apart from the rust the worst part about a nova for me (being 6ft 3") is the driving position, the steering wheel sits to the left and is even angled to the left. 5th gear was a real pain with my leg in the way.

my mate still has a nova i did a bit of work on http://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthread.ph...707&page=81

despite the colour it's one of the more tasteful novas about.

I do love a Nova, come to think of it. My Dad had one as a fourth (!) car as a runabout but it was a 3 door saloon! Awesome fun in that - flying of bridges and stuff.
