quattro is a full on win in the snow. Fact!

This is true!

Me and my mate had to help get a guys A5 2.0T out of the middle of the road.

He got stuck and it wouldn't move!

Next time he shouldn't be so cheap and he should buy a quattro :p

HAHA! wish i'd seen him i would have said "should have bought the quattro"!

Should have seen basingstoke about a year ago.

I had to bike into town to give supplies to my sister and her baby which got stuck on a bus for 5 hours :/ and i dont think it moved more then 1.5 miles

I nabbed the mountinbike i gave to my dad and set out on an 'heroic rescue' enough of the crap ,

Was really bad down here , was all over the news cars where crashed everywhere people left cars on dual carrige ways was like somthing out a zombie film (Funny i say that because i was thinking it when i had to walk back with her)

but Leeds is full of bellends isent it :-)

Says the man from Lancashire?! :paranoid:

My Golf has been awesome in the snow, well chuffed with it

I've put mine away.... but I need to drive to Bradford in the morning :paranoid:

You've seen fuck all till you come to Newcastle.

I'll get some pictures tomorrow, atleast 1ft of snow on the golf on the drive LOL

Pathetic depths going on down here in Milk'n'Beans, wasn't even worth going out in it.

polo stuck and neigbours bmw

i appear to live in the only not snowed in place in the country. it has snowed but it hasn't laid

that pic i posted was the only day it actually settled!!

Been none stop from last night and I was on nights. Had a nightmare getting home this morning. First I had to contend with going down this hill, started going sideways, one way then the other. Clipped the curb but was well chuffed it wasn't owt serious. Then struggled getting up this other bloody hill. Just spinning on the spot. Had lorries etc overtaking me LOL

Woke up to find I'd knackered the nearside alloy, having a 5" piece missing of the rim. Was in our lasses Mondeo and not the Polo fortunately

Foooking hate this weather

We got about 3 inches in derby, enough for a little sesh in an empty car park :unibrow:

seen 3 crashed cars in the space of an hour, and also helped out another dubber who bent his wishbone/ snapped his driveshaft in a mk3 golf hitting a curb!

Dont understand why people just can't take it easy in snow!

Why dont we ever get snow like that in the midlands? (like in busters pic)

For that one reason (and only that one reason :ninja: ) I wanna move to scotland!

We do get snow in the mids, it's 10inches deep where i am, on top of a hill, so i'm stuck for the day, no work for me. The snow is deeper than the bottom of my front bumper so i wouldn't get far as they don't grit or clear my road, or the downhill stretch which was scary trying to get up last night, many failed but my mk3 made it!

A foot and a half deep

Why dont we ever get snow like that in the West midlands? (like in busters pic)

Edited to suit :unibrow: haha

We have about an inch or 2, bit more than in mikeys pic

Snows a bit, melts a bit, then snows some more. Been doing this on n off for like 2 days

Raods are lethal haha, as it compacts down then snows ontop of it again. I'm missing not having the polo on the road more now its snowing than i ever have before i think

Deeper than your bumper you say? Reckon I *might* be able to beat that to be fair. I'll try and get pics, but snow is above the bonnet of my Mk2 16v and it STILL moves, I am still being impressed by my winter tyres now. I didn't even bother digging the back of it out, the snow was up to the level of my tailgate opening, I just reversed and the car pushed some out the way and ended up driving over the top of the rest of it.

Edited to suit what exactly, or am i just missing the plain obvious?

I miss not having Goldie on the road but i'd much rather she was safe than someone crash into her, some people don't know how to drive in the snow.

I've never known it so bad in the 20years i've lived here, always managed to get to work in the past.

I edited my post

from the 'midlands' to the 'west midlands' That was all.
