i have put new door on so goodbye dinty hunk of S**T haha .. so thats made me happy haha ,, while putting new door on had the central locking device sorted at same time which i'm gonna try put it a thread so people know how to do it them selves . got loads to do this year so hopefully i will get all those done

Took the ARB bushes off yesterday and fitted the nylon blocks which me and my friend found a fucking ball ache to do haha ! but they are on there got bored too so took the heat plate off smoothed it down and sprayed it black , debating whether to get a strut brace for car , need some new brake discs too and goodridge brake line which i will probably order today as I'm at home chilling in the sun ! . hopefully in a month or two will get more work done on performance of car , Stainless 4 Branch as well gettint the cam and carbs on too , !

was bored today so here is what i did ,, lol

got these on and have also put some black diamond discs on the car ,

Ordered Some Goodridge Steel brake hose which have come so hopefully will get those put on the car tomorrow depending on weather and how arsed i am aha

i have also taken the rubber strips off the side too and i am going to remove the red lines and having the paint work all buffed up and made shiny , not sure whether to put some new red tape back on or not , but we will see ,

Keep it up. I'm quite a fan of the red stripe. Breaks up the black of the wheels and bodywork nicely IMO.

Decided to sort the lights out the other day and installed a HID kit ,

Original Bulb and the New one

bit of a difference there , !

Hooked upto the battery onto the positive side

ran it under to make it nice and snug

then drilled a hole in the body and screwed her down with the earth cable to earth it

pulled radiator forward and ran cable through to keep it tidy

Had to modify the bulb rubbers though as it wouldnt go over the cables and the new bulb , so just cut the middle out

cleaned up the body and stuck some double sided tape on the back and stuck them down

How did you make/attatch the speaker pods to the doors? I could really do with something like those.

It depends what size speakers your using and what angle you wanna use etc , plus I wouldn't have time at the minute to be honest , Y not have a go yourself ? I'm sure there are some DIY guides on here or online

You've put your ARB blocks on the wrong way around. The ARB should be further forward,not further back.

Keeping it like this will make the steering lifeless,increase leverage on the mounts and give arch clearance problems on ramps or lowering.

cool beans dude ! thanks for that :) i will change them around at the weekend as they are coming off for an hour or so ,

spent an hour or so buffing the cars paint work to get rid of a few blemishes and it is coming along nicely , going to be giving it some more attention when i have time , but here is how it turned out ,

also ordered some H&R Cup suspension which is Front: 60mm , Rear: 40mm , which i have put the rears on and hopefully doing the fronts this weekend ,

which the result is .

hehe will have to have a meet up mate , my friend in retfords been giving me a hand as he is in the know on lots of stuff ,. they have a meet every month in retford , should come over dude , also . i love how your little red devil is turning out mate !!

bought some strut braces which i have sprayed up black , started off taking my time and making them all nice and what not . then just got fed up haha and slapped some clear laq over top and left them be ,, might tidy them up at some point but for now they will do lol this is mid way through ,,

Also sent my bike carbs off to Bogg Bros to have them cleaned and rejetted with a manifold too . which came back today ,

which i will hopefully get them put on and running soon

Front suspension , goodridge brake lines going on this sunday , and may even if time is with us put the new carbs on and see what they sound like , may also try get all the strut braces dropped on too ,, hope fully the weather will be nice

only managed to get front suspension done on sunday , they are a ball ache ! second set I've done now and i haver no idea why VW make it so hard for you especially compared to a mk2 golf of the same year , also hopefully getting the windows tinted next week which will make him look sweet

here is the result of the windows being tinted , which i think makes a big difference ,

next jobs on my list are some fettling with engine , getting carbs on , swapping cam , sorting body work out , so busy times ahead over summer

hopefully doing the bike carbs and cam this weekend , wanting to get the bumpers csprayed up too starting to look a little ratty and dull :( . also on the way to sorting out the arches which need a little tender loving care !
