Bike carb igniton question

i am in the prosess of gettin parts for my afh bike carb conversion, i was looking on here the other day and saw some one had done the conversion on a 8v but had used the standard management and mk4 coil and dizzy? i was always on the understanding you went back to mk2 coil, amp and vacume dizzy and scraped the ecu?

so does this mean it will still run on mk4 ignition even with out the sensors on the mini ie map, throttal postion and knock? and will it just bring on the mill light (engine management light)
