It would certainly shit "them" up. Probably fuck our selves over tbh, but still be a nice feeling, power in numbers. Can't ever see it happening though, which is a problem with our country. The gangsters would just find something else to slap tax on either way.. such as food. Petrol is one that they have you by the balls though (unless you go everywhere by cycle or foot) because you can't easily produce it yourself.

It's basic economics if there's fuck all demand the price goes down.. especially when there's a huge supply. It'd soo be worth striking, just to see these consequences!

It would be interesting to see the effects, but al they will do is put it down a few p then put it back up. Its like when it first hit £1 a few years ago, every body had a big uproar, it then went down, and then when it went back up, everyone just went with it.

Because the nations a push over as a whole and a fully consumer society and they know it.

All you hear is "there's nothing we can do about it"..

But this country doesnt know how to unite against aything. Except maybe football, of which we fail at also. Nothing big will happent o change anything unless something is started, like as said above a 2 day strike. But the fact is people are still just gonna go put petrol in on that day as they need it. And you would need a huge following to get it done.

It needs to happen, but i dont see this country doing it.

Right these are my thoughts on this.....We all need petrol so there is no way we can just stop using or buying it. However say for a an example that some how we got this apathetic country to band together ! we all decide not to buy petrol from say one particular company ? A lot of this, dont use bp style thing has been tried, and it shows that the country doesnt actually care. If it was a massive thorn in peoples sides then they would do something but it seems no one can either:

1) be bothered to do anything

2) unite to stop shit like this happening

3) Actually go threw with what they say they want to do.

like i said befor should all just make a strike group on facebook since every one is useing facebook and make a date for people to start strike from and see how many people say they will do it if loads then do it . they govermant would shit there pant. lol

i have to use my car/van daily for work. doest seem to make much difference. i never go out driving just for the sake of it though

The Lib Dems were voted into a position were they could make a change on the strength of their policies on this matter.

And what did they do?

All the people who voted for them because of their student fees policy have been fucked over, and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Any petrol protests would just be an inconvenience.

The government does whatever the fuck it wants to and it makes me sick.

I can't believe the county voted conservative.

All the different parties are a load of S**T. One thing i am glad about is that i have missed the rise in student fees. Everything that is happening is just messing people up. People voted con, as they gave a fresh look, loada promises, and most people had enough of labour.

The price of fuel wont stop me. I've still got to use my car for both work and social domestic purposes. I'd rather be a less well off than a...

we could all just do what the yanks do and just nick petrol coz they refuse to pay that price . they pay about 85 p or something like that a galon . its unreal .

Last year I spent over £4k on fuel. If I use the same amount of fuel this year I project it will cost me just over £4500. Add tax and insurance onto that and 2011 is going to cost me £5500 just to drive. If I didn't enjoy driving so much I'd move closer to work and get rid of a car altogether.

The only good thing is that nobody wants cars with big engines anymore. I bought a Mk3 Astra 2.0 CDX estate a couple of weeks ago for £260. It's MOTd, it's not pretty but it's solid, the 16v ecotec lump makes it move alright, and it's got electric everything. Even a refrigerated glovebox!

Fuel is gonna have to hit £2 a litre before I even consider a diesel or a 1.0 or anything gay like that.

A bunch of kids throwing some plastic chairs about wouldnt really have any affect on the decission parliament made. But lorrys in the past have carried out go slows. Blocked roads. Deliverys dont arrive etc.
