I don't like alot of euro to be honest, I just look at my car and think "it'll look better if I do this" I dont bother asking for anyone else's opinion and when it's done I don't even mention it! Just keep it to myself as it's my car and I dont give 2 shits to what other pepole think, if you want to put stickers over your car mate then you do it! If YOU think it'll look good then do it, I doubt anyone on here will "reccomend" it tho

Tbh i knew anyone wouldnt like the idea, i didnt do it for attention i just did it to see what people thought. My vw doesnt fit the standard vw driver look, its not slammed but its nicely lowered, it has nice simple alloys and i went for a sportier type of style styling and when i stand back and look at it, it does look nice. I stand out and everyone knows who i am and I've never had a bad comment about my car.

As for mg zr's they arent chavvy cars they are just in a different league to vw's and I'm talking old style polos and golfs not the new types.

i agree with you here, i wldnt but the vw badge on the bonnet but up the side i think it will look ace send sum pics when uve done it, I'm the same, i dont want to spend stupid money on my steel wheels to make them wider, my polo isnt slammed but I've lowered it well, so just bear in mind people have their own opinion to things like everyone on here, yes mg zr's are nice, i want one!!! but if the head gasket doesnt blow on it lol

The K series is still a great engine despite the 'common' HG fault, which they have fixed now anyway.

And unfortunatly you share the same snobby views as way too many VW enthusiasts, rovers arent bad cars at all. Its twats like you that aided the demise of rover and hundreds of jobs with it.

Perhaps I have been harsh there, you did add a laughing face at the end, but it struck a nerve with me still.

I wanna put a 1400 k series in a Polo much better engine than a AFH. All the headgasket problems were years ago now people know how to sort them they're pretty reliable.

theres a guy on polo3 doing just that. i guess once the mounts are sorted it wouldnt be hard to go a step further and fit the 1.8vvc.

rover/BL had a lot of good ideas, just a shame they struggled to put the ideas into practice.

Well calm yourself down keyboard warrior! My mate had one and we were forever fixing it! I also had a mini which I loved very much, and owned for a long time, but spent a lot of time fixing it. rover had the stigma for a reason, they weren't always well made, and towards the end, they kind of didn't help themselves by making crap like the cityrover!

I'm not against rover, it just amuses me when friends who own one deny strongly that they are driving a rover and insist its an mg.

I used to own a rover 207 and to be honest its the best car I've driven so far, pulled amazingly and was a very comfy ride.

So it's cool and retro to "sticker bomb" your car, to put daft checkers on your roof and do whatever else but it's absolutely terrible and so so chavvy to put a VW sticker on the bonnet?

I find it quite pathetic how so many people are jumping on the chav band wagon without even seeing what the sticker looks like or the car itself for that matter.

Now that I've had the dig at the people taking the piss just to be cool I'll give my opinion.

Stickers of any sort on the bodywork or windows look terrible in my opinion. I don't have a single sticker visible anywhere from the outside of the car because I prefer to just have shiny clean bodywork.

thats what the front bumper looks like on that.

My friend had a rover 400? with a 1.4 k series engine.

Was a good motor, and kept up with my GT. He just couldnt kill it either.

Then agian you do see alot of low milage MGzr's with failed headgaskets for sale.

Also I'm ashamed at how slow some of them are, my polo's run rings around many of the saloons and hatchbacks.
