So guys, things have been dead for the car once again.. I've started myown valeting and detailing thing from home so been spending most of my time pushing that.

Machine polished the polo so it's now swirl and mark free and.. this also happened...

Lowered it all round a little bit to get it sitting that teeny bit nicer. Front was adjusted 20mm (on threads) up front and 15mm (on threads) at rear.. I know this is a 'bore' but i actually can't go lower on these coilovers as i've run out of threads on the passenger front coilover.. so this is how it shall stay now, i'm happy with it.

Smaller tyres 165/50's and i'll be able to put my 20mm hubcentrics on the rear, wheels are a little lost in the arches at the moment.

See you at trax!

False floor with hideable sub. Sub is fully functional both hidden and on show depending how the mood takes me or if I don't trust the area :P

Re-doing some bits inside over winter that need touching up and head down and start saving for this engine its screaming at me for.

I was driving back from work last night and thought about doing the exact same thing with the carbon wrap :P

In all the same places, how did you get it around the dash? is it fiddly to do? also is the wrap from halfords?

I'm only on page 4 atm but this is a great read :D

Haha don't worry about that, I plan too, especially after I skipped a few pages and spotted the 6n2 interior, MY MAIN MOD But i'm no good with looms and electronics :S

I'll find a way to do it though :P

are there any guides you used for the 6n2 swap and the LED change, as I said, noob when it comes to electronics :P

Almost there.. I'm soo hoping it will fire on the first turn! :(

Left to do:

Front passenger brake

Headlight Wiring

Slampanel & Radiator

Interior

Dash trim

Brake & Steering Fluids

Bleed brakes

Coolant

Not bad considering I've done everything apart from the timing completely and utterly ALONE in my garage with no guidance. Never done this size of mod before!

Fingers crossed.

Not an exciting engine change, but its a step up from the crap 1.4 8v :)

Done 95% of the work completely alone in my garage. Not bad for someone who didnt have a clue right?

Almost alive again <3

Love it. Engine looks stealthy :ninja:

haha i know what you mean! I was going to paint the rocker red again but the finish was poo! So got frustrated and painted it black haha

Keeping it clean, simple and original under the bonnet :) Needs a good bay detail though!

Full of win. Well done Aaron.

dude you have done a great job i really like it I'm getting another 6n very soon had a 1.3 and a valver did you paint it yourself? tidy paint job i paint cars for a living got a few questions hope you can help?

how easy is it to fit a 6n2 dash? is it just taking the old dash out n fitting the new one do the plugs for the clocks fit straight in or is there much messing about? same as the heater stuff?

what paint did you use on the gearbox? and has it stuck ok?

also for the engine change did you have to change the loom or ecu?

any help much appreciated keep up the good work
