I should have taken some more pictures but I have been far too busy over the past few days.

I will try to add some maybe tomorrow.

I reckon thats a AVY block and its going to be a 1.6 hybrid engine =D

I'd hope it was soemthing differant. EVERYONE is doing them mately, be nice to see soemthing differance. 9n 3 cylinder diesel lump or something.

Hahahaha, RR day, tape measure :p

:? do explain?

Not my place to say :)

Just saw your sale advert for the mattigs, this thing is crying out for some shiny minitites or similar!

I may keep the Mattigs, They would look sweet in a different colour and with smaller tyres.

Silver 8-)

Do it.

what is the engine specificationsss?

He ain't gonna tell you that

why not? what a massive gay haha

The engine is acutally half mine, half his. I'm still claiming 50% higgs ;)

G40??

Hybrid fuel :ninja:............................ nah I'm selling the turbo parts to pursue with a normally aspirated engine.

:)

i reckon a hybrid of some sort, not sure of spec of fuelling method though.

unless the above is a decoy

Not a massive spec in all honesty guys.

Managed to clean up and paint everything ad swap over the bottom end to the AVY along with fitting a 4 branch.

Other than that its identical to before, I will however be re-routing all wires and the fuel lines after spring fest, so they bay will probably look a mess!!

heres a lill vid showing it running, bit noise as there is no exhaust, just a stainless manifold

looks tidy mate, will go well in your tin can :)

any idea why you made 120hp from a standard AFH?

You still gonna be running the mk1 pea shooter? :p

On another note...is anyone running an AFH chip on a 1.6 bottom end?

Or is it only you & guy on injection? haha

also, should be in the 14's now surely?

Cheers, I think it looks a state atm, I plan to hide all wires, re-doute all the air intake and fuel lines too.

I think it was purely the huge 1.8 litre air filter and the mk1 pee-shooter of awesomeness, sadly that got laid to rest in the scrap at the weekend after me and the moustache poo bandit ripped it apart.

The spec is now 1.4 head and management, 1.6 bottom end, air filter, 4branch and then full straight through stainless system to be made up on friday.

With what I have done I would hope fore around 135-140bhp with the fact the car weights 600kg I think it should do a very high 14, I would be happy with 14.8

I haven't driven the car yet, just ran it at idle on the drive for 20mins to bleed the cooling system. Once the exhaust is done friday I hope to run the engine in as best as possible before I probably kill it on sunday :)

You reckon only 4 tenths difference?

What box are you running?

Id defo try a chip...you gone with the 1.4 or the 1.6 injectors? :)

Yeh, Thats a big difference

I'm still running a GT box, this is close to the original AFH ratios and seems to accelerate hard enough for me :)

I'm not keen on the idea of a chip, however I do have a piggyback ecu in the garage whihc has a proven 128bhp on a standard 1.4AFH.

I kept the original 1.4 injectors, dont think that would make much of a difference?

bloody hell, wouldnt have thought youd want a GT box on this being so light haha, fair enough :)

yeah maybe you could try it out (the piggy back)

nah they're fine i think, I'm sure i just read the 1.4 ones on a 1.6 bottom end run slightly lean at one point in the range (more causing a slight power dip than damage to engine) but the 1.6 ones are different again, but maybe too rich, cant remember now!

you could always try messing around with an adjustable FPR, if youre bothered that is!

haha, i managed 16.5, i wanted to try getting into the 15's. but i dont think a small amount of carb tweaking and a shorter box will cut it!

His best time was a consistant 15.7 at springfest last year, not 15.2.

Anything in the high 14s will be a good time, providing its dry

Faaaack, this is gonna be quick. Shotgun a passenger lap!

This grandad polo just gets better and better!!

120bhp on a 1.4. Not bad considering it only had a free air filter bolted onto it

I thought was a 15.2 - my bad, I'm only 8 tents off him then not 1.3 secs haha! I'm coming for you mwaha
