Nick

I don't, I think the colour of the car doesn't suit shiny wheels!

They are going on my dads mk1, we just wanted to see how much arch rolling will need to be done to ensure they fit.

Haha whatever then ;)

Classics always look good! Nice paintwork too, looks fresh

Classics look cool 8-)

Anyway - whats in the box!?

Simon, the car is covered in a thick layer of shit and dust, its not moved from that spot for almost a month!! it comes up much cleaner!

I love classics but I don't think they suit my polo, they will be going on my dads anyway.

The passenger wing looks shiny in that picture

Whats in the box?

Dude , whats going on with this! haven't heard anything from you in ages!

You doing action?

His car has been scrapped :(

Still taxed according to the DVLA.

Lol brett,

UPDATES PLEASE.

basically its in a sorry state, still smoking, still not fixed. He's planning on swapping it back to just a 1.4, rather than the 1.6. When he plans on doing this i dont know but I'm sure ill be drafted in to give him a hand.

G40 it already!

Plan changes daily.

What will come of this is anybody's guess lol.

Either way, itl be cool.

He'll probably put pedals on it and pretend its a bike whilst wearing his spandex

Its been a while since I spoke about the car on here, not really had a lot to talk about though!

Since Spring fest back in March (I think it was March) the car hasn't moved, not a centimeter! Main reason for that been lack of funding, lack of motivation, lack of willingness to work on the piece of shit and just a general hatred for the car.

However, you keen eyed followers (Max this is you!!) will be happy to know that I have lost the hatred (I'm not in love neither!!) and decided that something should be done, even if it does just stay in the same place.

Since the first day of ownership I have been aware of the fact the car has a leaky boot. I tried to fix this with a pikey tech special bodge last time but the water has been filling up the boot once again.

The only real solution is to swap the trunk lid over. So this is a spare I got my hands on, decided it was about time I did something to it.

Must have been originally white, then used as a replacement on the red car as it was sprayed red with the glass in place! Just gone over it with some wet and dry, a hell of a lot more hours gonna have to go into it, but its a start.

I also decided been as I had it in the garage I would start to fit some sound proofing. Its probably not the nest quality you can get, however it only cost a few quid so figured why the hell not. got busy with the tape measure and began cutting some pretty shapes. I actually think this is the most enjoyable thing I've done to this car so far!

The pieces arent stuck in place, they have just been positioned to give you/me and idea of how they fit. I will put the carpets and all the interior back in over the top when they are stuck down to the floor. This probably wont be for a while as I want to make sure I have sorted the tailgate leak first.

Thanks for reading and apologies for the blurry phone images. 8-)
