Now I Hate it to bits, was hoping to be updating this today but I'm bringing bad news.

The two rear suspension units are not coming off the car! or at least they dont want to. The bolts that hold them into the beam at the bottom seem to be stuck solid! I was able to turn them with great difficult and the help of some scaffolding to get the nuts off, now the nuts are off the bolts just wont come out.

I've tried everything, 5ft crow-bar, blowlamp, freezing the bolt, the lot!

Apart from drilling the bastards out do you have any other solutions?

Thanks

Hacksaw, idiot of a job...

Or if you've got a bearing puller just weld a tab onto the bolt head and use that.

Blunt hacksaw tekkers has been applied, been at it for hours, now I need to finish it off and get a new bolt the correct size :disgust:

What's the problem mate? I don't understand?

Are you dropping the rear beam off?

  • Author

rear suspension strut sits in a housing yeh, well the bolt is totally seized in it, therefore I cant remove the rear suspension!

Oh where the struts fit to the beam behind the brake set-up?

correct

Have you got a welder or compressor?

  • Author

not at my garage at uni, why do you ask? Any news on the arb blocks, pm me, I dont mind paying abit more to get them sooner!

Because with a compressor you can buy an impact gun that should have it off in no time,

And a welder can always sort you out.

Ill PM you later on about them.

M

impact gun, tool for pussy's :ninja:
