The mk1 gls picked up a trophy in the show and shine and the blue mk1 put a huge smile on my face as it managed a 15.7 down the strip with really cautious gear changing as the selector rod is a bodge atm! I reckon a 15.5 is do-able :)

If your talking abou my 6n G no it's not mapped it's running safe map but iv got to say congrats but wait till she mapped

Iv been told to expect low high 13s / 14s with the map, 310cc injectors, 51mm throttle body, paddle clutch and LSD...

But like I said congrats!!! It's a sweet mk1!!! :) nice to meet you buddy, I'd love to go up against you one day at pod

Wow leave the bitch fight out of here please, I haven't once boasted about beating anyone!! I ran a 15.7 which was a shock to me and I'm over the moon!!

I had a 6n and I can say this handles a fair bit better actually!

The TT driver beat my 1st good time by 1second, then i blitzed his by 2 seconds, he didnt look impressed

I don't think banding them will help with caliper clearance issues though. As it will be the face of the wheel thats causing problems. No matter where you move it?

The offset could be whatever and you will have the same problem. I was thinking about it earlier.

You would need to modify the face of the wheel itself to make it work.

Better off banding some MK2/3 steels as they will clear the caliper regardless.

I'm awaiting brettney though, need to steal some of those hi -vis glasses of his. Dont wanna get the dremel on these pistons with my goggle things cus i may aswell do it blind. But i also like being able to see so could do without bits of piston in my eyes

i can get some BMW e21 steels in 13"s and your welcome to have my standard Steels of my polo if you wanna set to get banded.

I also have sources in the e21 club if you want low offset BMW mahles. i got a spare set I'm swapping over for my white shite wheels when i get round to it.

Out of interest what was your top speed as you crossed the line? I'm trying to gather as much data as i can for my car.

I'm gonna be running about 10bhp more than you (without nitrous) i think but sticking to the 4 speed box at the momment as its lovely and low geared and will give me a bit more pull.

which gearbox are you running dan?

mine is happy to be launched in second and third tops out at 90, so there's a possibility i could do a quarter in only one gear change, might knock a couple of points of a second off the time
