mk3 engine pipe wanted

Featured Replies

How do folks - I've got a GT engine waiting to go into my bready but I've just noticed one of the rubber pipes has a split in it.

It's part number:

030 103 493 AD

which i think is either a breather hose or part of the vapour recovery system but i could be wrong. it lives at the back of the engine at the left hand side if you are looking in the bonnet from the front.

pic of the pipe attached and pic of the location arrowed.

been to VW and they want £20 for the pipe which i think is a bit steep so if anyone can get one to my door for less, then let's be having you!

pipe needs to be flexible not britttle and have no splits or tears obviously.

cheers

mack

nice one - been a while since i've been to gossy autos - i'll have a poke round there tomorrow.

cheers for the leads

Go to halfords/motorfactors and get some radiator hose the same diameter direct replacement and has less tendency to kink.

Should cost <£5
