Hi, I've had a problem with me headlight switch on my Mk2f Polo, and wondered if anyone has had it happen to them before?

I was driving the other night and I smelt burning plastic form my dash, a few mins later smoke was poring out of the headlight switch, got it home and only the switch was badly melted.

Could anyone shed some light on this!
