Banned.

Featured Replies

The only time drink driving is acceptable is if you have a gay story to go with it. And you don't get aids. For example driving from Leeds to Manchetser with a 16 inch dildo between your legs to get you lubed up as you've been invited to a group of horny young mens house for an orgie. :D

Bravo Richard.

Anyways arguing that this guy is not retarded is retarded. Public forum telling people that he got banned for a cows eyelid/arsehole sandwich!?!?

Yeah a motorbike next. That's a great idea.

Bell end.

Fuck you Jew! Just because you have no foreskin doesn't mean you have to be angry at the rest of the world. :-D

Alright alright, it's not as if i don't know the gravity of what i did, but calling me a retard isn't what i asked for - i asked what the typical length of ban is.

I'm sure you ALL know that when you get to the point where you're too pissed to walk, you're also incapable of making rational decisions, we'll that's what it was in my case. Like i said, i always call somebody when i know i've had a lot, but this time just had too many.

So yes, i will have fun using public transport, i won't be spending shit loads on insurance, fuel, tax, MOT, wear and tear etc over the next year. Will have a healthy 5 grand at the end of this year, and am gonna like the cycling so will leave the car out of it for a few years so i can save my pennies.

Lesson learnt!!

no, i value my liver

a healthy 5 grand that will vanish the next time you try and get insurance

a used to be friend of mine got done a few years back, he had 10 pints, rolled his car, then ran from the fuzz. from memory he got banned for 18 months and given a hefty fine.

i'm not gonna tell you what you've done was stupid and reckless, it would seem you already know this.....

So you're a bible basher and have never ever got drunk...?

Exactly, yes the 5 grand will disappear but it will be solely for insurance if i feel it's worth it to start driving again after my ban.

>.< the ONE time i do it...... :(

So you're a bible basher and have never ever got drunk...?

nope, but even if i were, it beats being a pissed up c-unit

really?

if you had you wouldn't be trying to excuse what you did with shit like that, if that was the case then every one on here would be banned for drink driving or locked up for rape

maybe its just me but by the time i get to the point that i can't walk there is no way i would be capable of driving, if you can't control your legs then how the hell are you going to control a car?

i won't be spending shit loads on insurance, mostly because i'm not the retarded type that think it's ok to drive while not being able to walk through drink. i also won't be driving around in some little 1 litre shit box because thats all my 5k will cover for insurance

but most of all i will have the freedom that owning and being able to drive a car brings, the sort of freedom that money can't buy.

tbh tho as gutted as you may be now this will in no way compare to when your about a quarter of the way through your ban, its about then that you realise just how shit it is and what your missing out on, having to rely on other people and public transport to go any real distance. when your getting to work soaking wet because you've just had to push bike 7 miles in torrential rain. when you see your mates just jumping in their cars to go places but can't go because there's not enough room.

that's the point where you truly realise the extent of what you have done, and that's when you really learn your lesson. the problem is by that point the damage has already been done and all you can do is get your head down and get on with it.

i don't envy you one bit, its going to be proper shit no matter how much you try and front that it won't but the damage is done now. the best thing you can do is fuck off the excuses and take full responsibility for what you did, then crack on with finding yourseld a push bike

i'd rather live my life as a tea total than have to walk every where... but because i can handle my ale that's a sacrifice i don't have to make

Really don't understand this AT ALL. It's the same with people who cheat when they're drunk. When you get in the above state you mentioned you know exactly what you're doing...you just lose your conscience.

You might get a years ban. I shudder to think of you driving that car when you couldn't even walk. FFS.

Well said, though there's not much more ripping to be done after guy has had his say,

You just come across as such a pillock, saying "lesson learnt" like you've got chlamydia from sleeping with a tramp or something....

I don't understand that quote either, I can truly say , when i'm off my face i know i shouldn't be driving.

I've held enough secrets in all my 9/10 years of drinking to know that if you really don't want to say or do something, you won't.

So be it... I know exactly what i've done, i know what could've happened, why you'll like i don't??

At the end of the day, i'm not allowed to drive, so be it. I can deal with that. In some ways it's good i'm banned - Won't need to spend loads on the car, it will all be gathering in my bank :)

who are you trying to convince? us or you?

the only good way you being banned is your off the road, for now...

That is what i fucking hate about people. "Ohh he's been convicted of DUI. He is never allowed to drive again"...WHY? People wise up after serving their time and after seeing how much it affects/will affect their daily lives, will not do it again.

What's the logic behind banning them forever on the basis of DUI once...?

to stop them doing it agian, whats stopping you getting legless and doing it agian?

As proven you cannot control your actions when drunk.

So as i know what happens when i have my car with me when i'm that intoxicated, i will know what NOT to do. That, and not getting that drunk in the first place is what's stopping me doing it again.

Think this thread should be locked now, too much abuse to the guy. Yes drink driving is absolutely stupid! but the he's done it and now has to face the consequences

Hmm the first respectful post. I don't get it with people... They see someone make a mistake and take it so bloody far. I know what the consequences are and i need to deal with it. Knowing the consequences and implications of being banned is most definitely stopping me from drink driving again.

"Experience is something you gain, just after you need it most".

What did you expect telling car enthusiasts you drunk drove?

Oh and the answer to your question in detail

Very informative drink driving infomation.

Knowing the consequences and implications of being banned is most definitely stopping me from drink driving again.

but you knew you would get banned if you were caught drink driving and it didn't stop you. you knew the consequences and still did it.

if your looking for sympathy for some thing like this then your in the wrong place. what did you expect people to say? this is a car forum so people drink driving will piss people off. in the same way that if you posted up on a cat forum that you had just been banned from keeping animals because you were cruel to one it would piss the users off.

IMO Yes hes done something very silly, but saying he shouldnt drive ever to stop him doing it again is stupid. You imagine not being able to drive for a year and a half, You really think youd make that mistake again...? Unlikely. Sorry to hear the news mate but just one of them things you cant do nought about now so tought it out.

i think it has got a bit ott with the abuse calling him a retard is out of order even though he's done something unbelievably stupid, at the end of the day he hasn't hurt anyone.

we all make mistakes some more serious than others as we are human we (should) learn from our mistakes and never make them again.

Have no sympathy for drink drivers what so ever and is one of the reasons I pay nearly double the insurance of my sister. Agree year and half is way too short, a slap on the wrist when someone could've quite easily been killed!

Probably an over reaction due to the fact you said it was for a burger and expected us to laugh along!

Anyway take the easy route and blame alcohol...
