Why keep banging on about drift cars, they're not a 'style', just cars that have been built to drift!

I have an e30 bmw that is built for drifting, that's not trying to look Japanese, it's just built for a purpose.

In your argument against Nathans JDM polo. you specifically stated that it was just a polo with japanese spec parts, so in trying to argue against it, you pretty much said it was jdm, as jdm itself applies to the japanese domestic market, ie: OE parts manufactured for japanese models.

Nath had a jap boot, that and rear clusters are about the only things different on a jap polo, so he's more than half way there to having a jdm polo.

the looks and stlye comment gets at the fact a "euro" corsa will look completely different to a "euro" polo, its a difficult one to explain

so are you saying a jap spec polo has the same style or look as a skyline r34? or is it a german car made to fit in with in the japanese regulations?

just found this in Naths thread first page:

it wasn't hard to google that, and its not hard to understand why people use the term. If someone builds a car using these parts that volkswagen used to the japanese market, and then adds modifications and wheels of a japanese style, its JDM style. get over it ffs this comes up too often. People bitch and moan about it but Nath, Chris, Sam and Shauns cars are/were probably 3 of the nicest built cars on here.

Infact, it's only the same as someone changing the plate recess on a UK Market japanese car to the Japanese market one.

And too the lad saying "its not jap it's not a skyline" what a poor comparison. This is why the term is so bastardised.
