Yeah the bolts are a right hassle, just make sure you get the right size socket and use a pole or something for leverage.

Got the roof rack on for the weekend

Even though when you started this build I was worried it would be an identical copy of naths I actually quite like it and it's grown on me love the roof rack just need a Thule fairing to finish it off! Get those rust blobs sorted......

I did actually sort the rust on the drivers side a little while back but never bothered to update it on here lol.

I didn't do the best job of it though so I need to finish it off properly soon along with the other bits of rust and the arches.

did you mask around the area mate? if so then your gna have a hard line, you need to feather it.... theres a how to somewhere I'm sure

It's a 1998 mate, I looked at the guide to wiring fogs and it looked really complicated with all these relay switches and crap lol.

ah man its simple! the guide pepe did is for earlier polos, mines a phase 2 and its so easy.

i literally swapped headlight switch, made a loom to fogs and pushed 2 pins into the multiplug behind the grill and that was it!! simples

The paint cracked on these about a month ago, and I have only now been bothered to actually paint them :p

touch up stick haha if i do bodywork id just get a full respray, however engine project takes charge now:D

The noise under your handbrake might be your cat? Check the seal around your airbox and see if its dirty in the throttle body, if it is its probably sucking shit up through it and fucking the cat :/

I took my air box out and cleaned it all last week lol.

I had a look under the car today though and discovered one of the rubber exhaust mounts has snapped...

So my whole system is loose, you can move it with your hand easily.

So I'm getting a new mount and trying that tomorrow. :)
