alright mate those roofbars you used ages ago what were they do you have any pics of it with them on from front view and how much were they thinking of getting some for show season next year with a wind fairing on the front thx

They were just from Halfords and I think they were about £70 new.

In other news had some trouble on the way home from work today, the car randomly pulled to the left and side to side and made a lot of messed up noises.

Ended up pulling over 3 times and on the last time found this.

The rear right wheel had pushed itself out about 20-30mm, de-cambered itself and the arch was sat on the tyre... :(

Managed to get it home on a truck and now the wheel has gone back in the arch how it was before...WTF?!?!?

probably need to sheck your hub bolt mate sounds like it came loose and the camber shim managed to moove itself

Yeah. Looks like the hubs worked loose, locktite them. Maybe the shims have even come out? would explain how it managed to loose ALL the camber, then you said it went back to how it was with the camber. If the bolts were still how they were with the shims, then if the car had moved to the side, the wheel would have leaned in to the side in effect? Are you with me aha...

I checked all the wheel and hub before I got it home and all the wheel bolts were fine, the wheel was attached to the hub as it should be and I could feel the camber shim all the way round the hub still in place, there was no movement between the hub and axle.

So not really sure yet, might be a wheel bearing?

I'll have a look tonight after work, hopefully it's not too bad.

Wheel bearing has blown...knew it!

Problem is, its stuck on...proper stuck on!

Tried cutting through it but it's difficult, can't get a proper cut to go all the way through, any ideas???

Did you try grinding it off?

How come you chopped the stub axle off if you were replacing it with a new one, could you not have just unbolted it and bolted the new one in?

Yep, but they're case hardened, wasn't going anywhere quickly :L

I did try that but because I got spacers on the back of the stub axles, I couldn't get enough clearance to get it out between the beam and brakes without disconnecting everything so just chopped it to make it easier

ahh shit one mate...wheel bearings do suddenly let go with no warning sometime!

id change them regular one this kind of application, always checking mine due to offsets and such, its not ideal on the bearings being loaded uncentrally!

always love this though, i need some camber shims!
