I vote hitting a mahoosive speedhump or pothole at high speed not realising it was there... or running over a big rock in the road!

Winnar! Was not a pretty noise but luckily had a litre of 5w-30 in the boot so managed to limp it home. Underside is covered in bits of chalk and I split the rock right in half!

Also found the remnants of an already dead badger I had the misfortune of snow-ploughing with the sump the week before, the sump is the lowest part of the car, it's ridiculous

Not lowered it yet... but the sump on the v6 sits lower than the 4 cylinders and I *think* the sports suspension is a smidge lower anyway

On the upside I took the chance to do the auxilliary drive belt and found what was making the horrible rattling noise at idle, it wasn't the timing chains at all as I had first thought and feared. The aircon compressor clutch bearing has seen better days, metal filings everywhere! :?new aircon pump goes on Friday, should finally have her back on the road Saturday, can not wait to hear the V6 roar again

K&N panel filter arrived today, went out for a drive in the sun and ended up at Halfords..

3 Aerosols...VW Black Diamond Black, plastic primer and clear lacquer, tin of hammerite smooth red, assorted pack of wet and dry paper, sanding block, white spirit, wire brush and some paint brushes

Brake calipers and rear sharan badge should be painted up soon [:)]

Tempted to colour code the front and rear valences too, will see how I get on

Well that period of trouble free motoring lasted a long time..

Rear silencer decided to detach itself from the centre section earlier, admittedly I had my foot planted but can't imagine that the backpressure blew it off!

On the plus side she sounds like a scooby now, if the joint can't be repaired I'll be soo tempted to get a milltek..

Wish I knew how much my insurance renewal in June will be, if its fairly good then the milltek is going to happen. Might even get it done in time for inters.. afterall, can hardly take a stock car to a club stand right?

Yeah I'm definitely losing the rear polo badge hanging from the rearview, wanted to keep something from my old car, but this just does not look right!

No where locally had anything anywhere near big enough - the pipe into the last silencer is 60mm bore and the closest I could find was 56mm... so decided to go for a £3 repair for now

FIXED!... and I won't lie, I'm a little disappointed by the lack of noise, turns out it was blowing a little since buying it, it's soo quiet now

Just placed an order for a few bits from the US..

Probably get corrected after, but what I'm planning might just be a first

Drove down to Milton Keynes from Coventry to pickup a complete front set of S3 braces (upper and lower), mate of mine took a few photos and videos along the way..

Trial fitment
