Those there are the Xenon option lights, transform the car. The whole concept of the A1 is to have a bit of something from the other cars in the Audi range, like you say a bit of Q7 at the front. The optional roofline contrast colour was an idea taken from the R8. These are definately 'growers' and turn heads even if its as a marmite car.

Interesting thing about that HS motorsport A1 is the 1.4 TSI engine (not a UK option last year). Presumably its in reserve for the S1 launch.

i prefere it to the polo and ibiza tbh

I'm going off topic, I think it's a great looking little car. Don't think much of the interior though, it's a lot like the Ibiza. Only it looks cheaper. Not that I hate the Ibiza dash, but I think they've put the nicer dash in the cheaper car.

Exterior is wicked though. Very cool.

slightly off topic i know, but are you in the motoring journalism world?? (I'm only guessing as an ability to get press cars would suggest that) I'm studying journalism at uni and would love any tips on how to get into it, thanks..pm me if its easier :)

Oh club polo.

These look decent in the flesh and i think that it looks bloody good for a small car. I think on the whole polo, ibiza, A1 have all done really well on the styling front.

Think i would go seat this time round though
