mk2 scirocco scala

Featured Replies

I've owned the car for 2 years now and it is time for a change and something i can lug my bikes in the back.

so i have purchased a passsat estate. therefore the scirocco need to be sold :(

The basics:

its a 1988/89 volkswagen scirocco scala 1.8i

alpine white

its on a northern irish registration so looks like a private plate (TCZ 6896)

120k ish on the clock.(exact milage will be edited when i go to the car later today)

11 Months MOT

no tax (sorn) but can be purchased at buyers cost.

Lots of history and lots of receipts (4k+ in the last 8 years)

since owning the car i have replaced with new parts:

the steering rack

track rod ends

ball joints

top mounts

outer cv's

new clutch cable

fully serviced it every year

Exterior:

genuine kamei grill

rear boot badges professionally removed

b pillar vinyl professionally removed

de wipered rear

full original scala bodykit

front number plate holder removed

all red rears (slighly faded now due to doing it with tinting spray)

Interior:

original white cloth scala interior

300mm omp trecento uno steering wheel with omp boss (can be sold with original steering wheel but has slight marks from storage)

stripped out rear at the moment but have all interior and parcel shelf if you would like to put it all back in (i can do that if you wish)

kenwood headunit with 4 uprated standard size speakers

fully working mfa :)

Security:

has a clifford concept 650 alarm system

Chassis:

Raceland Coilovers

7x15 borbet c's (all have slight curbing, one quite more than the rest and has centre caps but missing centre badges, came unglued)

185/45/15 nankang ns11 tyres all round that are all only 8000miles old

lower front strut brace

rear 25mm hubcentric spacers can be included at cost.which set the rear wheels out perfectly

runs pretty low

Brakes:

285mm front brake upgrade

rear disc conversion professionally installed with all new parts

uprated 22mm master cylinder

larger servo

front and rear drilled black diamond discs

pagid fast road pads all round

this car stops very well.

Performance:

this car produces 138bhp and 139lbs/ft.

copy of rolling road print out and video can be included.

i purchased the car of a middle aged lady whos husband had passed away so dont know the exact spec

its pulls very well and revs really freely.

as i do not know the full spec of the engine i can only list what she told me and i have done or i have reciepts for.

it has an uprated clutch which is quite heavy but never slipped and feels nice on gear change

TSR 4 branch manifold

full exhaust system with custom tailpipe.

Kent cam (unknown what spec but power seems to come on around 3.5-4k and pull all the way round to about 6.5-7k)

k and n replacment filter

pretty sure it has had headwork and work to the throttle body but cant proove it.

id imagine its had alot more than this done to get nearly 140bhp from an 8v.

Bad bits:

paint is abit dull and has the expected marks for a 22+ year old car

the white seats are quite dirty due to using this car as a daily for 2 years

they were steam cleaned when i first got it and will clean up well again

rear nearside light cracked on the fog light. easy to get a replacment

Price: £1500ono (including omp steering wheel and wheel spacers)

car is located in herne bay near canterbury, kent

Rick from turbominis.

Nice looking motor, can't believe it's not sold yet.

If only it were left hand drive, I would snap your hand off getting that, always wanted one when I was a lad, well not that far back. But yeah, really really nice looking, sorry that doesn't help you sell though.

Good luck with the sale man.

Jon
