Cars off the Road Rob, but i may have to come on the train with Jake Kent.

In other news god blessed my optimism and excitement by making it rain all day. I started to move the battery instead of doing the welding... erm, yeah got a bit carried away- half way through a full wire tuck now. Already deleted the expansion tank and the such, wires battery and brake lines were all that was left!... progress-

Come to realise the only thing this project is lacking is a good car. Keeping seats, wheels drop plates etc and is being swapped to a mk1 golf or caddy. Everything polo based is now for sale, shell is being scrapped. basic list of goodies-

-fog light, switch, grille and tucked wiring loom ready to splice in.

-Smoothed boot.

-Steering wheel

-MINT 8v lower valance, (Rep pannel so is actually deeper then the OEM part, i much prefer this one)

blah blah blah, read the thread, its all there

pics of parts to follow.

Where you based mate?

I can't afford a car right now...period. This had no tax, mot and needed work. I've owned it for too long and loathe the thing to work on it. My logic says the coolest things on this car were the wheels, drop and seats don't you agree? Why not put them in a cool car :) all money made from splitting this will go to stock piling cool parts and then it's my 21st in November so I hope to get a mint restored MK1 then :)

Sounds like you've made the right decision :)

I look forward to seeing what you do to a mk1!

Thanks Rich, they parts already look better off the car in my garage haha!

Very nice, the plan is to stay static then? I have to admit that caddy.... NOM NOM NOM! That ride height and that colour with the polished wheels is lovely.
