Spanning over from the Top gear thread.

My experience was 2 years ago, had it for 2 months, was given one as a courtesy car after some rich banker in a Merc swapped lanes straight into the front wing of my polo, Aveo was brand new that day, top of the range, 1.4 16v, only mileage was Newport to Carmarthen.

It was Fucking terrible , only decent thing was the sound system.

Handling Terrible, managed to spin it at 30 on a huge dry roundabout.

Ability to go anywhere fast atrocious.

Ability to stop, non existent, silly amounts of brake fade even when slowing from 30.

Engine warning light would come on after washing or a heavy rain shower.

Told the guy picking it up how shit it was, then 2 weeks after I handed it back i saw it on the back of a recovery truck at work, some poor woman crashed it into the side of a pick-up when the brakes apparently stopped working.

So share your Chevrolet stories.....
