We may be in danger of sounding like a bunch of 12,000 litre VEEE 8 bumming Yanks.......

There are a lot of cool engines and designs out there.. they don't even have to be good to be, well.. good!

I love rotarys, I think the idea behind them and they can work with some tuning and forced induction is great..

I like Honda's VTEC engines, the fact that VW stuck a supercharger to a 1.3 8v granny car..

More than anything I love 2 strokes.. that sound, that smell.....

We all like CARS, who gives a shit what engine is mathematically or scientifically better?

The flawed stuff is always the most interesting ;)

It's almost endearing how my car manages to munch through 1l of oil for every 2000 miles....and gets worse fuel economy than a V8 from a 1.3l...

Like you say that's what makes car's a good laugh though.

I don't care that it's electric, I want one on principal. Also I'm obsessed with NISMO...

I get 17mpg from my 3.9 V8 on gas. Can you beat that?

I bet an rx-8 could slay that if driven hard!

lol at the Honda bashing. I have a modified Civic Vti:

I have owned and driven more VW's/VAG cars than anything else, I have only had one Honda (currently have a MK3 Golf too) and I test drove A3 1.8T's, Seat Ibiza FR's etc. before buying it which felt boring in comparison, obviously I am going to be slightly biased but there arent any VW equivalents that you can rev to 8000rpm everyday like I have been doing for the past 2.5 years and 40,000 miles and not get a single thing fail, yeah, it burns oil but the performance never got worse. I have an RR proven 170.4bhp from a B16A2 engine just with exhaust mods and an induction kit, the car is currently in having a B20 VTEC converison (200bhp+) but even as a 1.6 it would keep up with a mates Golf Gti Anniversary (180bhp I think)

I love my VW's too, I feel like they are more rugged than your comparative Honda, although from an engineering prospective the Honda VTEC engine wins hands down, and thats enough for me and most petrol heads!

I'm supposed to get 25mpg combined in the rex, so probably about 15mpg when I'm driving...I can't help but reach 9000rpm every time I pull away from big junctions.....it's still novel hearing the buzzer go off.

Also I won't lie, I think that White Zombie is horrendous...whereas the leaf looks like a proper GT500 car! It looks like it can go round bends and everything ;)

I remember when the Sinclair was introduced, saw a couple on the streets and i wanted one!

But then,i was nine.

They were incredibly expensive though, you have no idea how much £400 was in those days, but a Kit-Kat was about 12p and can of Coke 19p.

I recon the C5 was equivalent to about £3,500 in todays money.

you are absolutely right mikey i was not even born so i wont remember how £400 was.
