Coilover top mount problem

So I was in my boot the other day and noticed that my rear passenger side top mount wasn't really...attached anymore :paranoid:

It looks as if the bolt has shredded up the thread so it's now loose, I don't really know though, could it be that the shock absorber has packed in?
