2001 seat leon cupra 20vt..260bhp

hey guys. i have for sale my seat leon cupra 1.8 20v turbo. looking to swap for a different car or asking price below. polos, non polos... try me??

i have had the car for 8 months now and all i have had is smiles driving it haha. it is a seriously quick car!! the car has done 136k it has 11 months mot and tax until july but i may put fresh tax on for the buyer if your nice. the reason I'm selling is that i have a new job which is further away so looking for something cheaper to run.

the car has had an uprated turbo fitted and has been remapped. to be honest the lad i bought the car from didn't really know much about it. it has a turbosmart adjustable dump valve. a pipercross air filter, a 2.5" stainless downpipe and sport cat. a straight through supersprint centre section and back box. it has 17" wolfrace euro octane alloys with near new tires. hid headlights. tinted rear windows and lights. i have a full set of fk lowering springs but only the rears have been fitted due to a low sump with it being a daily driver. the fronts are brand new and will come with the car. i also have a sport rear bumper that looks nicer but it needs respraying first. this was recently bought for 150 pounds. the interior is standards other than a boost guage. the sterio has been changed from the standard 6cd changer to a jvc cd player and 1000watt fli trap subwofer which sounds superb. the origninal sterio will be supplied with the car. the car has had in the last month both bottom arms and bushed replaced, 4 tires, mot, a full drive shaft, uprated metal drop links, a track rod end and a lambda sensor. these parts alone have cost me in excess of 500 pounds.

now for the bad bits. the car had nothing majorly wrong atall and is used daily but it could really use some tlc to get it perfect. the engine isnt idling quite right. i have been to see the vw specialist where i live and he said there is a small plastic valve needed in the inlet manifold area which he suspects is leaking. this is a common fault and a cheap plastic thing to fix. the track rod on the passenger side has movement in it. the bodywork is not mint by any means. there is no rust but the odd ding and scratched. a good t-cut session would make the world of difference. the door skins leak in water sometimes when it raind hard. this is a common issue with leons and ibiza's. the central locking dos not work on the remote due to the battery going flat so could do with recoding. this is a cheap fix at any local seat dealer. the steering wheel was removed and is not on the corrent position so sits a little off straight but also an easy job to sort. the handbrake is not the best and maybe wants attention if your fussy and live on a steep hill hehe.

thats about it really. I've been as honest as i can think and any questions, dont hesitate to ask.. i am looking for 1300 pounds ovno. the car was bought for 2000 8 months ago and has had a lot spent but i know there are a few niggly bits which need attention so hence price.

any ideas on the turbo in place now, any engine pics? sounds like the one way valve in the inlet side isnt working properly to me on the idle issue, i assume the turbosmart dv is not a recirc one? will the rear bumper be included in the sale?

as far as i know its the k04 turbo from the cupra r model. its boosting at 1.5 bar which i think equates to around 22psi. the standard k03 only boosts at 11.9 psi i think. yes thats the valve i was told was causing the idling issue. vagcom came up with a failure on the precat sensor so hence why i replaced it thinking that was causing the idle issue. yes the bumper is included in the sale. i got it recently at 150 pounds but never got round to getting it blown over.

yes the dump valve is just a blow off type which, after reading into them, suggest they are better for reducing turbo lag. the idling happened only a few weeks ago so i know the dump valve was never a problem
