I could be totally wrong, but I think I've seen it, or one with a similar plate, for sale somewhere, I just can't remember where or when :?

yeah think its going to be difficult to find, thanks for the help anyway guys :-)

If my memory serves me right you lived in Daventry and this went to a guy that lived in Warwickshire, i'm sure that he had a problem with the engine shortly after purchasing it, he then had it up for sale. When you sold it i'm sure that it had 120+ on it.

It was then sold on and i've not seen it for sale or any build threads on it since.

^^ is this guy the oracle?

No just sad when it comes to g40s and remembering which ones have been for sale etc in recent years.

If you go on polo g40 site then it was sold in March 2010 to user name benh999 he then used it for about a month and sold it on ebay for £1600.

I bought this about 6 months ago for £2700, cracking car, been well looked after.

Just hit 123456 miles.

Doesn't seem to be running that well atm though but currently working on that!

Don't want to drive it in the winter, its to nice to get rotten may rebuild engine over winter.

Put some pics up.

Sorry if pictures are huge!

Had it 6 weeks not months!

Love g40s such an awesome car - when running well they are great when not a money pit and headache.

Yup I had it shortly. Took a big hit on her when I sold and maybe should have stuck with her but that's life. She always had a horrible Misfire on acceleration and I took her to yoof but in the limited time he had her we could not find what was causing it?? Ignition and cam timing was bang on.

this is my old car before teamcmc owned her :-) pleased to she's still on the road

i remember talking to one of the previous owners of this at E38 a couple of years ago

THIS CAR WAS CRASHED INTO ON MONDAY MORNING

ANOTHER G BITES THE DUST!

Waiting for the third party's insurance company to send an engineer to assess the damage.

I will be buying the car back off them if they let me and will be reshelling.

So annoying especially as it was not my fault at all a women pulled out of her drive on a main road without looking and t boned me!

Sad, bad times!

:-(

dont let them take it away to be inspected, you'll never get it back. i'd argue that as its not your fault its her insurances responsibility to return it to pre-accident condition!

They are sending an engineer to me to check it don't worry I wont let them take it it owes me too much to just let it get taken away!
