Oop...

i think it looks sweet the way it is mate

Looks good as it is dude! 8-)

Back needs to go down a little bit imo, looks good though

as the sticker in my rear window says 'StanceBerks, Because Low Is For Lifestylers'

Need to eliminate the arch gap both ends at least ;)

Topcaps up front (if its not already got them) and a noth at the back and it would be perfecto.

Yeah but window stickers are gay

Needs to go about an inch lower all round, maybe 1.5 on the rear. Or you could fit some nice 14's and it would sit nicer without the ground clearance issues

Put some bigger wheels on and leave it at that height. 175/50 13 lows aren't real lows.

I recon 15's are the best for stance on mk3... just nobody seems to have done it yet! Apart from 9olo but his arches are pulled to fook

if it was me i would go as low as possible but it's all personal preference

I think you will find it gets very tedious very quickly being very low

there is a formula to "stance" it is - get the car as low as possible before being totally undrivable (just mostly undrivable), get the wheels to sit flush or poke slightly in the arch and fit the biggest wheels possible with skinny tyres without them being rubber bands (i'd say 35 profile minimum). saying this 13's are good but on low pro's you'd be grounded ever time you went over a leaf, 14's are getting there and are the perfect size imo for a daily, but 15's are probably best for "stance" on a mk2f

this is a good example of stance

but imo stance is good to look at on the internetz but is useless in real life

imo 14's are a good all round size for a mk2f, saying that my favourite wheels on a mk2f are 13" ats classics 7j front, 8j back and 13" wellers 7j front, 8j back

its all down to personal preference after all

Looks soooo good mate, still looked better with starmags on mine ;)

You can get Mk3s lower on 16s than on 15s.

Being able to drive over bumps and handle properly is the way forward...

Too low, this is the way forwards IMO.

Some of us have been planning it for a while....

YES.... do it

It's already well in the pipe line Jon

Although not on that car as its long since been crushed

All cars have stance, some just have a better looking stance than others.

For some, that means resting the arch on the bead seats. But for those of us who haven't completely lost the plot, and dont see the appeal of cars that look broken, its often more about purpose.

For me,i suppose its a bit like that look of a hunting animal of prey ready to pounce,or a boxer's arms up,whatever. It needs to look 'ard and ready.

It needs some tyres for this, none of this 165x50 elastic band shit,i wanna see some sidewall, even if its stretched a bit, like a 70s Le Mans race car.

And it needs to look like it can deal with mounting a kerb without smashing its bodywork to bits,or flex some useful suspension movement whilst hammering down a good B-road.

Dragging its balls as it crawls awkwardly on its knees, well that just doesn't cut it for me.

I think it looks sweet on those starmags and with that stance - i just recon 175x60s would be better than 175x50s.

It needs Glaidersite ARB blocks to bring the front wheels forward in the arches. And a notch down at the back. What's the poke & stretch like? can't realy judge your stance without seeing the poke & stretch elements.

Back needs to go down a little bit imo, looks good though
