Beemers headgasket went on Thursday, which put a damper on things and meant attention had to be diverted to the Golf for a bit.

Needed the crane for work on the Golf so dropped the engine in its new home

so this is still here :)

I've since finished welding on the outer sill, engines bolted in and pretty much everything is plumbed in.

next week i need to get some filler and paint on the sill, build up the brakes, get the interior in and the fuel tank and lines in and then its the home straight

looking forward to driving an olop again. she'll be for sale as well as I dont need two mk2's so if anyone is interested, give me a shout

hey Saf i reckon you should crack on and get the welding done as you can do the engine anytime or little bits at a time whereas the welding you need a while just to get cracking and get on it

anyways heres a pic of my breather pipe i just cut out so glad I'm getting rid of that whole area now
