I'm sorry but purposely hitting and killing animals is fcuking disgusting. And many of you get pleasure from this which is sick.

Never enjoyed a nice tasty burger or or a succulent piece of spicy dreaded chicken? Because contrary to what you may believe those animals didn't die of natural causes, they were purposely killed for you culinary pleasure.

I wouldn't purposely swerve to hit an animal, infact may times I've slowed to give them as much chance as I can to get out the way, but slamming your breaks on or serving to avoid them is just irresponsible so some times an impact is unavailable.

A duck once ran on to the road infront of me and all I could fo was brace for impact, I felt guilty about hitting it and I didn't get pleasure out of the fact that I had killed it, but did that stop me almost pissing myself when I looked in the rear view to see its headless corpse carry on running straight in to the curb? Hell no, because some shit is just funny.

going up and down country lanes to work has its dangers, its not nice having to remove a rabbit thats wedged itself between your stage 3 frame and the alternator belt :( even worse when they end up wrapped around the front brace of the frame.

Took a pigeon out a few weeks ago on the way to Stanford Hall... was like someone bursting a pillow!

Also I've occasionally used my front tyres as a euthanasia device for animals injured beyond recovery by other traffic. :(

I've hit a few interesting things in my Beetle, notably a dragonfly (those things can cover half a windscreen!), a bat (which survived) and a cyclist (who was annoyed.)

i've clocked up 3 rabbits, 2 pigeons and a cat so far.

it was horrifying hitting the cat though, it ran out in front of my car and just stopped, so i swerved and it went the same direction as me.

i was distraught thinking i'd find it under my car, got out and it wasnt there, looked around for ten minutes and couldnt see it, so i was releived, apart from some blood on the floor.

anyway, saw it a few days ago (very distinctive ginger and white cat) with a leg missing.

bad times.
