Oh forgot to ask, about your front bumper splitter, eBay? Easy to fit or did it need much modding to get it on?

so many questions about this recently! the splitter was from a trade supplier or VAG/Seat/Skoda parts called Trade Part Specialists, or you can order it through a Seat dealership. Be careful of the ones on ebay as some are cheap copies and as the proper one is only about £40 I would go for that one.

As for fitting, it will need cutting at either end for width, so you need to line it up first, otherwise there are loads of fitting guides online for the cupra R splitter (none for the 9n) but just adapt, think we followed a Lupo one. The main thing is to use the tabs that would clip into a Seat bumper and put self tapping screws through them and up into the bottom section of your bumper. There are about 14 tabs so it will be held on pretty secure, also means if you catch it like I have, a few screws can pull out and it still stays on position. The tabs have raised clips on which will need cutting/sanding off.

Sorry if any of that doesn't make sense mate, best to just follow one of the many fitting guides for another motor and adapt it, fairly straightforward, just make sure its lined up central before you put the screws in!

Lol when I had the stickerbombing I might have been tempted to go this route but not for me really, it worked well on Olli Mayble's 9n though! although that is packing a VR6 shaped punch under it.

I'm pretty much finished on the exterior now apart from colour coding...unless you mean to tie in with the rusty door, which I will get fixed!

Been after one for ages, just been putting it off cause i wasnt sure on the eBay quality ones. Just put an order in with SEAT to collect tomorrow £44 inc vat. cheers.

Not sure I've often wondered that, most obvious is the Votex one I suppose, but there must be other VAG ones we could run..., 9n3 gti?

Laguna splitter might work, popular with the 306 brigade, but if a clio one can be fitted then don't see why not

I haven't sorry bro, when I did it me and a mate lined it up and used some duct tape to hold it in place then marked on where to cut at the sides, think we used chalk :/

Noooo not yet, as I've only really just started the work on it. Didnt want it to be a half assed thread till it had some stuff going on etc :). Hopefully got coilovers coming in the next few days off here so will be making a thread once they are on etc.

Thanks mate, that's always nice to hear!

erm, well the front one is easy enough to remove but I would recommend taking the grille off to make it easier to pop the badge off then rub it with sandpaper, I forget which grit but you will find out online just google 'black badges'. Then plastic primer and black paint I just got from halfords. As for the rear badge you may be better off asking someone else as I did the very risky thing of masking it up and painting it on the car :/ which luckily worked but could prove an expensive mistake if you overspray onto the bootlid by mistake. There are ways to get it on an off although honestly I'm not sure what they are, sorry mate
