Whoa wtf is that shit? Was it there from factory?

It's debatable as to whether the application of ziebart was a factory or a dealer option!

I think on the outer lower body panels (sills, front and rear valence) and injection inside all the cavities was a dealer option, but believe to have the whole of the engine bay plastered was a factory option, unless the dealers took the engine out, removed the radiator, steering rack, and painted behind the brake lines, which i doubt very much!

It's done its job though, no rust anywhere!!!!

Did you try using a soft wire attachment on a drill or grinder?

That's how I removed mine!

Yeah! iv'e got a few different types of wire attachments for use in a drill, which i'm also using.

It was surprisingly not too difficult to cut it out :-), If anybody is thinking about doing it, i say do it!

Grind spot welds and chisel, the hardest parts were the 2 end bits that sit at the back of the turrets

Sounds fairly simple tbh! Gomna do it to mine next time its off the road. Didnt have time this time round.

It wasn't too difficult at all, as Brett said, behind the turrets was hard as there's not enough room to get the grinder in at the right angle, and it only took an hour or so!

Took the dash out as well, i will post up more pics tomorrow.

After taking the dash out, and removing the rain tray yesterday, i spent most of today scrapping, cleaning, and sanding....

Almost there! another day or so and should be ready to weld up the voids, and prime :-)

Nicely done on the scuttle too, this now looks very much like my coupe. I had a nightmare with mine, there was so much sealent and glue everwhere, which covered all the spot welds and generally made it a horrible job.

I also found a large hole in mine where they'd spot welded a little triangular peice in. Then we made it worse by getting pissed and melting everything with my TIG welder

Spent the last couple of days stripping the inner wings.

Then sanding and priming

The edges of the front panel, and the top of the door A pillar had a little surface rust i've treated with a rust remedy, and will prime tomorrow.

Then stonechip and paint.
